Earthquakes and Allah
After the earthquake
seeing the fallen poles,
the shattered glass,
collapsed houses, torn roads
and flames everywhere,
a child in fear asks me:
who brings earthquakes?
Not paying him attention
I unknowingly answer:
Allah brings earthquakes.
Lost in fear, anger and innocence
he says: how foolish is this Allah!
