Lets talk about sex. Or rather, lets talk about the lack of sex. In Pakistan, on the face of it, no body has sex. Yet somehow, our birth rate is increasing with no end in sight.
Polite society ladies would rather die than admit they ever did the deed. Hell, women with six kids have a hard time admitting their kids were not born a la Jesus mode.
No no no, we are good pious people. Why would we want to have sex? On a couple of websites focused on issues faced by newly married Muslim couples, you come across questions such as:
- My husband has a sheet between myself and him during intercourse. He says removing this sheet is not allowed. Is he right?
- Can I touch my wife's breasts during sex?
I remember one lady, my mother's friend, proclaiming that her husband had never seen her hair - this after having two kids who I assume can truthfully claim that their legal father is also their biological father:)
What gives, people? Why are we so hesitant in talking about this wonderful gift of God which fosters love between husband and wife? This denial of sexual activity leads to all sorts of deviancies and criminal impulses in society - which cannot be good. What is denied to people legally, people will attain illegally.

Not much is known how females feel. Some of the them are not comfortable due to taboos, some hate it because the way men treat women as mere sexual objects.
What is actually needed is the female point of view how she looks at sex. Men are already thinking and talking about it too much
disclaimer: this is a mere occurence I have come across with more than once, and I don't want to get dragged into the Indo-Pak love fest that is rampant in the blogs right now.
All 'momins' are great lovers but they do not publicise the fact; why embarrass the Viagrists?
