its a irony that in most embassy(s) and consulates of Pakistan arround the world (major and non-major stations included ) half of the embassy staff and in some stations 2/3 of the respected staff of the consulate and embassy is not from the foreign service but from Intellegence Bru
Lets take the case of Pakistani High Commision , London , UK based in Knightbridge where I had the oppurtunity to work for three months that besides the point . Shah Mehboob Alam ( from the Intelligence Bureau , most senior officer in I.B and predicted next I.B chief ) was post some 18 months ago - question is why was such a person in a seniour capacity was posted in such a station ? was it because of the High Commision bugging the reason he was sent ? No, Shah Sahab was posted because he wanted to - anyhow lets look where the tax payers money is been spent on arround the world -
Minister Pakistan High Commision is entitiled to a house ( £ 2200 /month ) , ( utility bills £300 / month ) , embassy supplied car + free petrol £500 / month , a driver to drives it imported from Pakistan ( GoP pays ofcourse ) £800 / month and in a country like Englad where only elite affords servents a Bureaucrat gets a imported GoP paid servent from the foreign office salary £600/month + housing free ) & the salary of the officer itself is £1200/ month which is equalant to Rs.632300/month spend on one officer who was not even supposed to be there -
