Bye Bye Chowk
I joined Chowk in 2003 and enjoyed being a member for a long time. I was eager to make contributions in essays and often the essence of pluralism in Pakistani Civil Society. Afterall, my country is not what Pakistani bigots attempt to display with their babbling but what I see it to be. However, to some, even this was not tolerable.
For the past few years, it has degenerated into a mudslinging Board, where every discussion ultimately resorts to religion and the filth that accompanies it. In case of Christians, it has come from apparantly Pakistani members which is a tragedy. I have therefore lost the motivation to contribute anymore.
