Amid all the gloom and doom, it looks like fans of the cinema in Lahore will finally have something to look forward to on a regular basis.... wait for it... an actual, real-life, honest-to-goodness, open-to-all film club!
Yay!
And no, I'm not escaping reality - at least, not in anything longer than the very short-term. Instead, powerful, thought-provoking films can serve as a catalyst for all kinds of personal and social transformations.
