Asif Zardari has stated that the text of Benazir's will (dated October 16, 2007) has been made public and is available on the Internet. He seems to have been misinformed; neither the PPP's official website (http://www.ppp.org.pk/) nor any other related sites have the text of the will.
For an unofficial transcript of the Naudero Press Conference, including audio recordings, see:
http://drfarrukhmalik.com/blog/2007/12/31/bilawal-bhutto-zardari-will-be-c hairperson-of-ppp/
Excerpts:
"...Mohtarma wrote that if in case I am no more, Asif Ali Zardari will be the Chairman of the party, the CEC endorsed it but Asif Ali Zardari said that he want to give this responsibility to his son, this was also endorsed by the house and he was elected as the chairman of the party according to the will of Mohtarma [?] and we endorsed it happily."
By all accounts, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto did not want her son to go into politics, and her will is consistent with this; but clearly, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari did. It is not immediately obvious how the decision of the CEC of PPP is "according to the will of Mohtarma"?
"...Benazir will remain our chairperson [sic.] and I [Asif Ali Zardari] being the co-chairman will assist Bilawal and Mr. Makhdoom Amin Faheem. This was her will..."
This was her will?
