Tired and underprepared

No, it’s not the usual whining; it’s not about the blues today, but the blacks! The perpetual blacks that those frikkin power failures have pushed our lives into…I am OK with the electricity shutdowns as such, for me they are more of an excuse to slack and to enjoy a few (fine! I admit they are no more just a few) moments of peace that have otherwise gotten extinct lately….but I am just not comfortable with their indirect repercussions. More sweating warrants more showers and more laundry, and that in turn implies more use of soaps and detergents etc and hence more water pollution. Then there’s this arrogance and frustration that I observe keeps mounting inevitably in every individual I come across these days, and rightly so. Besides, can a nation whose 6-12 crucial working hours in a day go wasted like that be really expected to progress?

There are a thousand and one other consequences, but what’s particularly bothering me today is that I haven’t had enough sleep last night on account of no electricity and soaring heat, and have turned up at the office feeling so goddamm sleepy…only to find the electricity down again!

Ahh, but I wait for you…

Its a Public Service Commission exam, for a few advertised positions. I've studied almost nothing for it due to my rather longer official hours plus the unfaithful bijli

Sir Shobig_Sifar
It is definitely not easy when one is expected to carry out functions of their existence with absolutely nothing...Everything is disrupted- personal lives, work, exams and the rest.Imagine all these people having to go through this and then multiply this in millions to figure out the impact at national level..

Aadil what exam are you preparing for by the way?

So is the case with me. I'm feeling almost drowsy at the office courtesy my insufficient sleeping hours for the last few days. Plus my chances of passing an upcoming exam seem extremely remote due to my inability to find some light to study in, during the late hours. Resultantly there is tension and loads of it.

Sho,

it’s not about the blues today, but the blacks!

When I read it first, I thought it was Zeenaji who was writing.

the irony of fate is that our hukamra'n are only worried about ADLIA. WTF they previous govt. has been doing in this regard, no one's dare to ask. & have u guys noticed their new chala'ki; Mr. 10% going to meet Maulana Diesel on the moon next week to discuss the ADLIA thing & then will head to Mercury to meet Nawaz Shareef & then Pluto to meet Asfandiyar Wali. So the Nation should be very much hopeful to hear something about the matter NEXT year provided muzakra't ka 2nd daur is not required. :@
