Strike Call by the Bank unions

Posted: Jul 17, 2008 Thu 11:22 am     Views: 215    Interacts: 0

Reports in the media have appeared that the Nationalised Bank Employees ‘ Unions have decided to go on a One day strike on the 20th August 2008.

It is realy ridiculous that the Union Leader who had appeared on the Television has challenged the Government to release the names of the defaulting Big Corporate houses. It is the pot calling the kettle black.

Someone must file a petition under the RTI Act to know as to how many of the relatives of the Union Leaders are working in the Banking sector itself. Most of their near relatives, such as sons, daughters, brothers in law, sisters in law of the Union Leaders are being appointed in the Banking sector itself, if not in the same bank. A probe must be conducted. It is these people"s inefficiency which has resulted in the raising NPAs in the Nationalised Banks. Over and above these blue-eyed boys who are being rewarded with prize postings including Overseas postings.

The Government must come down heavily on these office bearers - who while away their time by doing dadagiri and indulge themselves in blackmailing the Bank Managements.
