Don't let these Children Die!

Who can deny the virtues of globalization?

The success of phenomenon speaks for itself. It has enabled create better employment opportunities, offer better quality of life and improved standard of living in its realm. Standardized and economical solutions that deliver better value to the customer and provide value for money have become a reality. Quality assurance and service and product standards have taken a giant leap forward.

Everybody wins!

But is it so?

Now look at the flip side. Has globalization paved way for concentration of wealth and resources in a few hands? Tolerable! But if doesn’t come at the cost of those who cannot economically lift and bring themselves to a certain threshold. Those who cannot afford to become a part of the privileged class.

Has globalization enabled giant enterprises to wipe out competition using their humungous resources and economies of scale and scope?

Is globalization a by-product of capitalistic and imperialistic economy depriving poor of their rightful share?

Another tool of exploitation?

Food for thought!

The questions on everyone's mind. I tend to think it is truly a two edged sword. And we stand at the beginning of a true crossroad. Only time will tell if we passed the test. In this regard I am a pessimist with only a tinge of optimism and that is because human spirit sometime can have surprises for us in store.
Thanks for the post and for the link to this website.

'Yes' sounds to be the answer for each the question you've raised here.

'What next?' is a question that needs to be answered when Capitalism is crumbling with each the passing day.
