I used to
Walk on tip toes
Softly, quietly, silently
Lest I waken the demon in you.

I used to
Bow to your demands
Wordlessly, subserviently, passively
Lest I unleash the bastard in you.

You kicked me into corners that spelt black and blue
Pushed a few knives into me
Sliced a few shreds off me
Licked a few wounds into me.

And you smiled
Victoriously.

But
Never again.

For all the dreams broken
And the nightmares made.
For all the lies created
And the truth destroyed.
For all the nights swallowed
And the days darkened.

For all the ruses
Of truce
There is only me
That I will do unto you.
