Well! I will use my iLogs for posting the different types of opportunities (Research/ educational) available for Pakistanis.
f you like, Please spread the information to the people around you who may be interested in any of those opportunities.
Random Thoughts: Ever Wondered Why There are so few Pakistanis in positions of responsibility and visibility in Foreign Universities, Research Centers, and Think Tanks? Ever Wondered Why There are so few PhDs in Pakistan-based Universities, Research Centers and Think Tanks, and yet there are so many opportunities for getting quality training in the research community abroad? What is our collective Research Output as a Nation? Why Research is considered a third-rate profession in Pakistan? Ever wondered What We Can do about it?
These posts are taken from a the mailing list of Pakistan Research Support Network (Social, Basic and Applied Sciences). A Group of Pakistani International Researchers Research Students joined together with a desire to support Research Activities in Pakistan by:
a) Help identify Research Opportunities, Fellowships, Funding etc.
b) Collaborate and build professional communities;
c) Develop linkages between Expatriate and Pakistan-based Researchers;
d) Route Research $s from developed world to Pakistan;
Lets Join hands to strenghten the tradition of research in Pakistan and among Pakistanis.
