At 45, I said farewell to arms. My 27 years in khaki were incerdibly adventrous and memorable. I grew up and matured in the forces. I loved my unit, diversity of job, the family like working environments, the comradeship and the life style. Deep inside, though, I resented privilages and perks for officers. I was very excited , when I started a new life and a new career after uniform. I dont live in glories of my past , even though the time spent in military is an everlasting source of joy and inseperable part of what I am today. I am very successful and happy, by all standards, in my life afer khaki, even though I am always looking forward to visiting my old unit and watching the new breeds of soldiers in my spiritual home.
