Abdulrahman is a technologist with a close eye on the effect of new technologies on how individuals and organizations work and communicate. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Riverside respectively. He blogs on technology and social issues and is one of the charter members of the Pakistan Science and Engineering Foundation (PakSEF), and also serves as a board member for the International Organization of Pakistani Women Engineers (IOPWE), and is the Operating Committee coordinator at the Organization of Pakistan Entrepreneurs and Professionals in Silicon Valley (OPEN SV).

Professionally, Abdulrahman is on the ASIC Signal Integrity and Packaging Design (ASIPD) team at Cisco Systems. Here he supports the ASIC Signal Integrity Modeling, Simulation, characterization, measurement, and Web 2.0 comunication activities for the high-end Catalyst 6500 and Nexus 7000 enterprise switch product lines.

As an Entrepreneur, he has been involved in a number of Web 2.0 projects, where he provides advisory services to early stage Web startups - assisting them in building offshore development teams, providing legal and financial advice, and helping entrepreneurs in making the right technology choices.
