SS,

This is hilarious, outrageously funny. I can see why people in chowk can be reserved given the religiousity of this place. But it was outstanding, with many, many LOL moments.

Inzamam is visually the most wonderful batsman of the sub-continent and possibly of his generation. Just saying that to get any suspicion of bias out of the way. But nothing should take away the irreverent brilliance of this piece.

Now we should think partition as an event which can be called an accident in history

Well friends I had the honour of meeting Inzamam Ul Haq in 1999 at a party hosted by the Punjab Cricket Association at Chandigarh, India. The Pakistan cricket team was there to play a match against Sri Lanka at Mohali.
My friend Sarwar`s post here is quite hilarious, but I just want to put it on record that Inzamam is one of the most humble, down to earth and a charming gentleman I have had the privilege of meeting in my life so far. I talked to him in Punjabi (my mother tongue) and Inzamam with his disarming smile made me feel so comfortable that the conversation I had with him that day remains, till date one of the high points of my life.
I have great respect for Inzy and wish him the best always.

I think the President add-ons were unnecessary tho not least bit ``less funny`` ..... this is just amazin stuff ...... n this kinda humour , ppl, is perfectly acceptable ..... no matter whether the subject is the best cricket player or the worst TV star

Mr Sukhera,

A very good effort to generate a few witty lines. I am a fan of Inzamam and a few more like Steve Waugh, Rahul Dravid and Brian Lara. Inzamam though, does not need any comments like this, neither he is easily offended by such remarks. He does what he is good at though........ talking WITH HIS BAT! That is precisely what matters. I live in Australia and the Aussies know when INzamam comes into bat what is good to get him out....nothing!
They call Muralitharan a chucker becoz he is unplayable to them. They call Inzamam ``fat`` coz that they think would disbalance his calm, but he is a responsible player, not some bull chasing a red cloth!

Sarwar,

You said,``“Yea. Weight no go so I keep beard. Fat and beard together make look good Muslim”. ``

ROTFLAO!!

This line takes the cake. By the way, Inzamam is very sensitive about his weight. Once in a match in Canada, some Indian guy teased him as ``Aloo!! Aloo!!`` (Potato). Inzie got so mad that he charged at that spectator with his bat!! Guess the fatso has a thin skin!! :-)

Stoning for preaching a different religion

Deuteronomy 13:6-11 ``If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, `Let us go and serve other gods,` which neither you nor your fathers have known, some of the gods of the peoples that are round about you, whether near you or far off from you, from the one end of the earth to the other, you shall not yield to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him; but you shall kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. You shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and never again do any such wickedness as this among you.
