Re: # 4
Dear ShoreSahib:
I appreciate the sarcasm, it is entirely understandable from your context. By revealing my unatural prejudices and fears, I guess I am seeking to atone for my sins of prejudice. I can also appreciate your understated hostility towards people like me who appear to be magnanimous and accomodating to our new found liberalism and come across awkward and clueless, but I assure you there is no lack of sincerety in my atonement.
I wrote this to point out the perils of ignorance that forms the cesspool of prejudice towards gay people, one that I was happy to reside in all my life.

The proclivities of the residents of NWFP arent geared towards an appreciation of grown men f*cking, rather they tend to prefer pedarasty. Vile creatures.

I think Brokeback Mountain will be a great hit in NWFP, given the proclivities of the residents there. It should be released in Pakistan for the entertainment of the Taliban and other elements in NWFP. Maybe they may forget about fighting and killing people for a while.

Interesting article. I am still not sure what was your point though. As a gay male, I dont know whether to applaud this article or just shrug my shoulders. You straight people! Even when trying to understand homosexuality, you make us sound like a freak show.
Dear Author, You really did not have to summon the courage to go see Brokeback Mountain. Wow! Such Valor, and to top it off, you learned to deal with your own prejudices. I am so glad a movie about gay cowboys could do that for you. It took two macho men F*cking bareback in a tent to finally help you understand the love Nathan Lane felt in the BirdCage for Robin Williams.
Brokeback Mountain is hardly a movie about gay cowboys. Its depiction of love, and most of all the complexities of human relationships. Its about Longing, betrayal, true love, societal strictures, prejudices, and plainly the human experience.
