I will excuse the wars against innocent civilians as natural calamities orchestrated by god.
All your self-righteousness wouldn`t stink of hypocrisy if you weren`t such a big supporter of musharraf or had protested against the Saudi King...both of whom are responsible for the deaths of Indian citizens..
But then again, that`s what some of us expect from you..going to the plate for the Islamist cause, not the Indian cause..
George Bush too is a criminal. If he were not the president of the most powerful nation in the world, he would have been put on trial.
That`s right...People like mushy who`re responsible for the deaths of Indian citizens aren`t criminals...Of course, you blame the panditds for their own plight anyway..
I`ve got bad news for your Islamist/commie nut buddies in general and for you in particular..your views on Dubya match paki views on Dubya and are sooo not reflective of the Indian view of Dubya...
India: Pro-America, Pro-Bush
Looking for some good news amid the often dismal findings about America`s image abroad? Try India. Anti-Americanism has surged in much of the world since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, but India has bucked the trend. Among Indians, America`s image has actually improved in recent years.
Across a range of measures, Indian public opinion is consistently pro-American. The 2005 Pew Global Attitudes survey found that about seven-in-ten Indians (71%) have a favorable view of the United States. Of the 17 countries polled in the survey, only Americans themselves hold a more favorable view of their country. And while U.S. favorability ratings have plunged in many countries, Indians are significantly more positive about the United States now than they were in the summer of 2002, when 54% gave the U.S. favorable marks.
By contrast, the president is viewed much more negatively in Pakistan, the next stop on Bush`s South Asian trip. Just 10% of Pakistanis express a great deal or some confidence in Bush to do the right thing regarding world affairs. Morocco (9%), Turkey (8%), and Jordan (1%) were the only countries surveyed to voice less confidence in Bush than do the people of Pakistan.

Those who remember the Commonwealth Summit in India will remember the pomp and splendour put up for the foreign dignitaries by Indira Gandhi and the outrage they provoked.
This protest against the US presidents visit should be one of the biggest held in India against any US president, save the christian brothers - and judging by international opinion of this religious bigot, thats the way it should be.

``Those who remember the Commonwealth Summit in India will remember the pomp and splendour put up for the foreign dignitaries by Indira Gandhi and the outrage they provoked. ``
There is no comparison between the Commonwealth Summit and the present Bush visit. The Commonwealth as such had never any value, it`s another waste of time like the SAARC. The Commonwealth summit was forced upon us and it was a real waste of our resources.

vivek,
Bushs agenda of hate, war and lies, and his preference for dictatoships, has been a lethal combination for American foreign policy and has been well recognised as such.
No visit of a foreigner has provoked such a backlash as far as I can remember, nor has any had a religious flavour to it. Can you?

parthaab,
As every survey would indicate that the majority of Indians think the Bush visit would be good for India. A few nut cases protesting does not indicate mass dislike.
As long as American foreign policy is good towards India, I will cheer for them. Their policy towards any other country is not my concern, because to me the life of an average Indian is many times more important than the life of anybody else.

vivek,
I am protesting his actions on Iraq and his governments role in 9/11 (Does Bush have more to hide? Watch this : http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2023320890224991194 ), and generally acting against muslims, like a christian crusade.
I do appreciate Indian christians for playing a fairly neutral role here, though one wonders what the silence really means.
vivek, While Indians do aspire to settle in the USA, it is for economic reasons. Not because they support Bush. Ditto why Americans employ Indians. It is the Indian way of identifying oneself closely with his employer that causes misunderstandings here. Vivek, you have every right to support Bush - in fact you can even get a citizenship of his country and go there if you wanted to. And if Manmohan Singhs comes over, I wonder if your favourite government ( the USA ) will allow you within 5 miles of him?

Wilful misinterpretation and hysterics. The Communists are part of Manmohan`s coalition government which is hosting Bush. It is his job to ask them not to protest and embarrass his/their own govt. Correct me if I am wrong but he hasn`t asked the Opposition not to protest.

Farzana,
very convincing and articulate but,
It appears you do not represent the popular opinion on US and Bush in India;
`Indians are significantly more positive about the US now than they were in the summer of 2002, a new opinion poll has said.
The 2005 Pew Global Attitudes survey found that 71 per cent of Indians have a favourable view of the United States and 54 per cent admire President Bush in handling world affairs.`
--THE TIMES OF INDIA Mar 01, 2006
I do not doubt the accuracy of this poll. However I wonder what will be the result if the opinion of 140 muslims of India are counted only.
There is no doubt that India ( the hindu majority) and US are natural allies against war against terrorism; a.k.a war against those wretched muslim jehais and fundamentalist.

Promoters of MNC cause are on over drive on this site. Oooh baby, bipolar factoid junkie supporting G.W.Bush....and that is what the RSS ordered.
One should never trust these hate mongers. They donot have the foggiest idea on how to be authentic. You are out of sink with your own hindooland. What we find India sucking Duya`s sugar canes and nothing was given to the beggars.

parthaab,
I accept that the Iraq invasion was unfortunate, but at the end of the day, let`s not forget that the invasion did get rid of Saddam Hussein. I am sure that you are very much aware of Saddam`s crimes.
Also I am definitely very happy to be in USA and part of the reason is that the govt. has the right attititude, i.e. the security of Americans above all others. I can only wish that Indian govt. can ever ensure that in the next 100 years.
