Let us discuss the Immigration Bill.
Inbred retard....Let`s discuss reality(as opposed to your wishful thinking)..
India: highest number of students coming to the US..can`t get in without the US government giving you a visa..which means the US wants Indian students to come to the US
Pakistan: drop in the number of students coming to the US i.e. the US doesn`t want paki students..

Re: # 109:tahmed32: You referred to the hateful and rabid reports. I volunteered the comment on Iraqization. Why did it have to originate in your comments?

delhiwala #107 as for your thinking that jehadists will take control of Pakistan - no one can foretell the future. And in any case, i hope you can write something more thoughtful than this standard line parrotted by so many indian posters. Why not read Dost Mittar`s article - which i dont totally agree with, but i think is basically thoughtprovoking, and writing something more intelligent than this standard line?

Local Taliban gaining strength in NWA
From Shaiq Hussain and Haq Nawaz
MIRANSHAH — After completing their sway in South Waziristan, the local Taliban movement is regularly gaining strength in North Waziristan in the face of ant-terrorists military operations in restive tribal belt.
While Miranshah, North Waziristan’s headquarters and hub of bloody clashes between security forces and local Taliban, is still under curfew even after the passage of nine days.
According to officials, so far over 150 militants including foreigners have been killed besides death to around 10 security personnel but there is no letup in the sporadic gunfight forcing locals to shift to safer areas.
Apparently, the Taliban have retreated from Miranshah after remaining engaged in battle with the security forces for days but they seemed determined to fight back.
“We are in hundreds backed by Allah and all the tribesmen. The forces of infidelity will be wiped out from Waziristan,” said a young local Talib who did not want to be named.
There are hundreds of others like him being led by Maulvi Abdul Khaliq, Maulana Sadiq Noor and Maulana Noor Muhammad, all local fiery clerics.
They have declared ‘Jihad’ against the government through their audio and video speeches being openly sold all over the tribal belt and nearby cities of Bannu, Tank, D.I. Khan, Karak and Kohat.
On Sunday last, the suspected Taliban shot dead two tribesmen near Miranshah leaving behind a note with one of the bodies giving a warning that anyone who spied for the US would meet the same fate.
Around 120 tribesmen have been killed so far by militants for supporting the government against the Taliban movement.
Most of the inhabitants of North Waziristan are in support of Pakistan but at the same time they resent military operations.
“We are not in favour of terrorists but we want the issue to be resolved peacefully through talks,” said Ahmed Wali, a resident of Mirali.

Tahmed Sir, I am not bashing Pakistan, I am merely speaking my mind as I see things happening in Pakistan.
Majority of Pakistanis(not upscale rich people like you) actually believe in Rule of Shariat(Dar-Ul-Islam), read the Urdu risalas from your country(not the English ones that only 2% Pakistanis read).
You will get the picture. I sincerely hope that I am wrong but cannot ignore the facts.
You can write similar views about Sikhs or Khalistan or India and I can discuss them with you.
Do you really think that India will give its claim over Pakistan? That PM who does so will be tried for treason by subsequent govt in India.
Frankly, I do not see any solution for Kashmir. Pakistan will keep on playing the Jihadist card and India will keep on using the Military to suppress Kashmiris and apply the diplomatic pressure. World does not give a hoot even if India/Pak have nuclear war.
However, world will give a hoot if West is threatened but then Pakistan is not stupid to threated the world.
It is a chicken and egg problem with no solution.
That is why have fun while you can.

The situation is not quite that desperate. But the situation will have to worsen further before it improves. (One scenario has already been pointed out by me.) Unless, of course, both countries are blessed simultaneously with statesmen , not just political drifters/hacks.

Tahmed
Honestly I cannot agree with everything in Dost-Mittar`s article either. What he is talking about is nothing new. I have read quite a few articles in Indian newspapers etc, that have called for improved trade with Pakistan and this was a long time ago. The basic premise was that it was a waste of time for two neighbouring countries to ignore each other`s existence when resumption of trade relations would benefit both.
Now at some time Pakistan had MFN status from India`s side but it was not reciprocated from the Pakistani side. I do not know if that is the situation right now. Of course political persuasions would cause all sorts of games to be played while the ground reality would be quite different.
However since neither side seems to trust each other all that much it will take a long time to come to fruit. If both countries were to dump their religious baggage it would be good. But that isn`t likely to happen for some time. The atmosphere is still a little too strained for that, methinks.

Only Pakis buy into the best performing market crap..the rest of the world isn`t buying it..
Market cap of KSE: 50billion$
Market cap of BSe: 500billion $.
Look on paki faces when they realize they don`t have a single company that can hold it`s own in the world: priceless....

``To think in the above way would be a shortsighted approach on India’s part. India is right now in a position when it can afford to be magnanimous. But it does not have to be merely altruistic, because ending the sibling rivalry, which started at the twin-birth of the two countries, is also in the interest of India for both domestic and international reasons. Domestically, the terrorism problem, which was earlier limited to Jammu and Kashmir and North-East, is now spreading all over the country``
<<<<<<<<<<<<
Another Jehadi threat couched in smooth words and not-so smooth threats i.e there will be more Varansi type blasts.
After all the slitting of throats, murder, rape and ethnic cleansing of Hindus from Kashmir, GENTLEMEN PAKIS now appeal to us to be maganimous. The most hilarious part is the column starting with the satement that Pakistani economy is robust!

#123 the ``gentleman paki`` you refer to is Mr. Dost Mittar, who is Indian. you can be forgiven for this mistake, being new to chowk. you can also be forgiven the rest of your delusional post, being an indian babu.
ranjit: You have identified a new form of recreation: Indian sunbathing , defined to mean basking in the reflected glory of what other people make. ha! ha! arjun is the leading contender for this on chowk, but i see you are giving him good competition.

#118 delhiwala my friend. can you read the urdu script?? if not, i assume you are repeating the bs you hear on chowk from other indians. forget newspapers and magazines. forget the bs they teach you people in India.
Go visit pakistan and find out for yourself - like thousands of indians have done in the past couple of years. You will find Pakistanis to be a friendly, warm hearted people, just as other indian visitors have done.
``Do you really think that India will give its claim over Pakistan? `` you mean kashmir, I think!! (or is this a freudian slip, ha! ha!) Anyway: yaar, why do you want to start a political argument with me?? I dont give a damn about these territorial disputes. Kashmir is fait accompli at the LoC anyway, and trying to change that is not worth even a single life, indian or pakistan, imho, let alone a full blown war between two nuclear armed militaries.

#120 swarrier: i basically agree with you. and when you write `` If both countries were to dump their religious baggage it would be good.`` I will even second you on that. Religion is basically a very personal matter, and by dragging it into public life both religion and public life are badly tainted. Religion is very much part of the problem in the subcontinent, and not a part of the solution. This is unfortunate, since I think religion could potentially be very useful in terms of making us conscious of the magnificence of all creation. but, c`est la vie. :-)

Bipolar factoid junkie choutia:
Let us discuss reality.
Reality is that just like the illegals in America, hindoos of India have been sending money home. And that is considered as money laundering. That should be a part of any meaninful immigration bill.
MNCs like Citigroup and Bank of America can not continue promoting money laundering, weher as BCCI was considered a fraudulent company. Drug money has been flowing in these MNC banks.
This should be a part of any meaningful immigration bill.
Do you not agree?

Thank you for being respectful. Personally, I am not interested in what Indians make. What I am interested in though, is to get the toughest immigration bill passed in the Senate.
US must remove H1-B visas completely and not cater to the shenanigans of the MNC.
US must have an equitable immigration policy and should not be based on regions. Immigration policy should be based on countries. All countries in the world should be treated equally in the new US immigration policy.
There should be no racial inequality. Africans are being discriminated against in the current US immigration policies.
H1-B visa holders are workers on permit and just like a guest worker should return to their couintry of origin.
I believe that the American people would be best served if the new immigration policy is understood completely by them. America can not afford to remain an open country. We must work hard to keep the rift rafts out of this country. And to do it equitably.
All immigration issues should be on the table. The current thought of addressing the 12 million illegals is wrong and is racist. Hindoos of India have similar record on money laundering and human smuggling, and that must also be taken into account.
Extended Hindoo families are clustered in the US residential areas. Hindoos have also brought their religion, their culture, and their traditions. If there is an under current that somehow the hispanic culture is bad for the anglos in the US, then I am sure that Hindoo culture is by far the strangest to the puritans of America.
These opinions must be addressed, and must be address equitably.
