Re: # 10
I meant to ask how in the world can Pakistan progress when it has people like the writer and his father as it`s citizens. The line above was obviously a typo.

Think about it, these are people we can`t shrug our shoulders about and remark about, that they are politically or socio-economically disenfranchised. These are people who travel by air in Pakistan and are obviously well-connected.

To have zero civic sense and less than zero of everything else on the lines of morals, values, ethics, common sense, is to see your teenager vandalize an already bankrupt national airline, and say nothing.

I am appalled to see that this terribly written article - both in grammar and syntax was published on Chowk. I have seen you promote your writing and photography on various forums on the Internet so I came to see this. I must say I am extremely disappointed. I have heard (of course, from you yourself) that you also write for Dawn, I am guessing that either what you write for them is first corrected by someone more familiar with the language before it is published or that their standard has seriously plummeted.

I was also very disappointed to read about the callous attitude of your father after observing his brat of a son trying to vandalize the poor national airline and potentially creating a deadly situation for passengers by stealing emergency equipment. All he had to said was ``two are enough???`` ughhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! And when you finally got caught by the security staff, he flashed a business card of some corrupt ``high official`` and they let you off the hook!

My GOD!!! No wonder Pakistan is in the terrible state it is in. How can in the world it progress when we have people like that???

Re: # 7. I am MBA student at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi, also called MAJU by all and sundry. I was born on 12th May, 1982, that makes me 24 right now.

My basic aim in life is to travel. And when you travel you become obsessed with people, their dynamics, and off course you accept life as it is.

As for PIA, I like it because National Geographic rated it the worst baggage handler in the world; i love it because its airhostesses treat you like a beggar; and off course they are always short of coke. Once when I wanted water airhostess told me to get that from cabin!

So, there is a love-hate relationship with PIA that I have. And I always look forward for yet adventure.

Unfortunate.... keeping the humour aspect aside, your dad didnt stop you from stealing.parents not reprimanding their kids enough is becoming more of a norm in Pakistani society.

Re: # 3 actually trying to gather up soaps, shampoo bottles, even towels has been my passion. but now that i have grown up - too fast, must I say - i no longer steal any of those. But never have my friends suspected me of any wrong doings because most of them started travelling with me when i was finished with those stealings....

Re: # 2 lol...so you have already tried your hands on the soaps! :P That means Ameer, you are not the only one of `that` kind here!
Nice piece, much more funnier tan the one actually published under the parallel `Humidor` section. Do keep writing. :)

I thought this was going to be one of those rants against PIA but it turned out to be quite funny instead. When you visit your friends do they make you turn your pockets out before you leave?
