Dr. Sahib Thank you for your response. Another question:
It is also my observation that sexual fantasies are addictive and may develope into what we call Ide fixe in layman`s terms or in your terminology obssesive compulsive disorder. I am not talking about sociopaths who act on their fantasies but I am referring to those who become extremely passive while excessively induldged into their wonderland. I am talking about the indulgence, which so overwhelming that they find it difficult to engage in the tasks of their daily life.

Dear Saminasha...I welcome your comments and questions. It seems as you and dehli wala
have ongoing informal dialogue. I am new to the chowk. I want to be respectful to all so
that we can have a genuine dialogue and learn from each other. For me degrees are less
important than what we have to contribute to others. For me my education provides me an
opportunity to serve others especially those who have emotional problems.sincerely sohail

Dear Lady, this is Chowk FP. So please follow the Chowk Guidelines.
Matured gentleman participate here, if you can behave like a sober person then stay here, or else kindly bless us with your absence.
I am trying to ask a question to our esteemed daaktar friend from Toronto.
Dr Saab: Please tell her to leave.
OTOH, a very legit question in all seriousness.
What do you think of Ayn Rand and the Howard Rourke character?

Dr Sohail,
I am very impressed by your credentials, you went to one of the most prominent colleges in the world(where was that???? oh yeah, Newfoundland).
I am very interested in knowing about the practice of Female circumcision, and why is it not done on woman these days?
When Pakistani males can be circumcized why not woman?
I have a very valid question here.
PS: I sincerely hope that you will respond.

Dear Burpinder....It is unfortunate that the way I write has disappointed you. I try to write
about human psychology that it would be understood by lay people. I have read many
books and papers by other psychologists and psychiatrists who are only understood by
other mental health professionals. For me to understand human psychology is to help
those people who are emotionally suffering so that they can help themselves and know
when to see a therapist rather than going to holy shrines and relying on ganda taweez.
It is my humble attempt to share my experiences and ideas. But if I do not come up to your
standard I apologize. I hope gradually you feel comnfortable with my style. I am sure I
can learn a lot from your thought provoking questions. sincerely sohail

Re: # 32
Dear Urtruly...Thank you for your interesting comments. I agree with you that male genital
system needs a regular release to ejaculate the sperm so that testes can produce new
sperms. That is normal biological maturity of a male. In wet dreams the mind gets involved.
If a male is having regular masturbation during the day and having orgasm or having
regular sexual intercourse with his lover then his frequency of having wet dreams is
different than those men who do not masturbate or have a lover to have sex. That is why
many married men told me that they rarely have wet dreams.
As far the psychology of dreams is concerned there are different theories.
some say they are emotional reactions to our day to day lives
some say they are expression of our unfulfilled desires...wishful thinking
Freud believed they are unconscious attempts to resolve our past conflicts
On the other hand Jung felt that they might give us a few glimpses of our future.
I believe that each dream can be understood in the context of that person`s life. I believe
that dreams are our inner dialogues. They help us to get to know ourselves better.
Some dreams are more important and significant than others.
Freud played an important role to study dreams from a psycholigical (scientific) point of
view but the science of psychology is a soft science bordering on philosophy and not hard
science of biology or chemistry where things can be quatified in laboritories. Psychology
reflects a scientific attitude so that we can study human nature and condition without
religious doctrines and blind faith. I am glad you raised that question and I will keep that in
my mind for future references. For me it was interesting that masturbation that was
considered sin and self abuse in religious families is now considered self pleasuring
and normal in liberal communites....sincerely sohail
