Whoa, what do we have here!, i came back to this forum after quite a while and it didn`t let me down. As usual, here we have another cunningly veiled attack against spirituality that isn`t Islamic. These guys will use every trick in the book to push their agenda, I say agenda because thats what it is all about, less about spirituality and more about political domination under the guise of religion. Something, i consider far worse than the pseodo-mystics this man purports to be against. Spare the poor men, at most they materially dispossess a few, i can think of some far worse, who seek to entirely dispossess people of their very souls.

Your responses have nothing to do with the content of the article. Simply that you got offended on Sohail`s comment about Rajneesh and starting firing salvo`s at Islam in retaliation. Not stooping down to your level of talk, I would say that every religion has darker side and hinduism, Christianity, Judaism etc are no exceptions. The discussion here is about psuedo mystics and how they manupulate people and not about comparitive analysis of religions. Just a reminder.

Just noticed the photo of the old Muslim holy-man sexually kissing the little boy and molesting him. Just goes to show what happens when people follow a cult like Islam and all the hypocrisy. Though I must add I have nothing against homosexuality.
As a Tantric follower of Osho, I really believe that the height of sexual enjoyment can only be reached when only one man and one woman participate as equal partners in a sexual encounter.
But sometimes my masculinity and my animal instincts take over me and I wonder how it would feel to be a Muslim and marry 4 nice, young, pretty wives like the Arabs do when they come to Hyderabad (I would rather to Kashmir, in the earthquake area, and get me 4 nice, young Kashmiris like Muhammad got Ayesha).
I will admit - I sometimes envy Muslims when I see them walking around with their 4 wives. As a Tantric I can only imagine all the things one could do with 4 wives and have a blissful sexual experience. I have personally got experience with 2 but 4 and higher, now that is something to aspire for.
Anyways, as a Tantric my advice to Muslim men is because the masculinity or male superiority, including rape, is so much emphasized among you people, if you are going to remain a Muslim, why not make full use of it, marry 4 wives and have whatever little fun your religion has given you because everything else for you - is nothing but endless suffering.
If you are a muslim woman, I really pity you.
Sorry! These are just some of my random thoughts.
I will take leave now.
Sincerely, Bhairav Das

To Everyone Here,
I am assuming the author is a muslim. I always wonder why muslims go about analyzing other people’s religions especially someone as perfect as Osho and pass judgements- when 99 % of people who follow islam are living in poverty, illiteracy, desperation, terrorism, ignorance, low self esteem, slavery, hypocrisy, violence against women, etc., etc., etc.
Religion is supposed to help alleviate your suffering and help you enjoy life and find bliss in this life - here and now. And the cult of Islam is so far away from helping its followers enjoy just a simple and peaceful life (you can forget about bliss) it just amazes me why people are following this cult.
The big cult of Islam needs to be studied first, analyzed and reformed - by throwing out 99.99 % of all Islamic practices.
But I think I know the answer. The moment you analyze and criticize Islam - its rabid followers will terrorize you and kill you.
I really don’t blame the author or any sane person who enjoys living for not doing a critical study of the cult of Islam.
Sincerely, Bhairav Das

To Everyone Here,
The article and the author here have made a reference towards Osho (previously known as Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh) as some kind of cultist. I humbly disagree.
Osho was gift from the heavens to the human-kind - to alleviate the human suffering - Suffering is the story of almost every single human life that has ever taken birth on this earth. And answer to that is to lead a blissful life. After Gautama Buddha, I consider Osho to be the only other heavenly being to have taken the human life form.
As a follower of Osho’s teachings I feel it is my duty to refute any false allegations against Osho.
A humble, un-solicited advice to readers here- study anyone who sincerely follows Osho’s teachings and you will a find person living in total bliss.

Dear Manto,
Just for the sake of completeness can you please add `Prophets` also in the above list.

Completely agreed...
Will keep in mind your advice and look for your continuous guidance, if and when such an opportunity presents itself.

Anyway - I hope you accept chowk editorship if it is offered. Something needs to change in chowk if it is to grow. Currently, it has fallen into a rut I think. Not a website you can recommend to any real life friends. We need more thinking people like freethinker and Dr. Sohail, e.g. And those who hog the space by those who have nothing to say but post abuse to others should be taken out like the weeds that they are. :-)

#63 The world has begun to reject witchdoctors...
And I say Amen to that. Religion is big business everywhere. Caters to people`s fears. Nothing to do with faith.

ylh #60 That is a strange response indeed. Do we have to watch for the gray vs white smoke? (which is how they signal at the vatican if a new pope has been chosen) :-)
