Re: # 6 Hey man It looks like you just open the dictionary and look at the word and meaning.
You should go further... and understand it.

Re: # 5:
This is not India, it is America!
You need to know what exclaim means.
I did not criticize the book. I criticized the write-up which is in front of you.
A minimum standard should be met.

I do appreciate dear interractor.
But i am exlaimed why the person has not mentioned his/her name.
I have read this book.
I am exclaimed why people like ??? is commenting on an issue
``like talking in air``.

One should read the book first before making any opinion.

Dr. Kausar Mazhari has attempted an aspect that was still not done by any Urdu literati earlier. His attempt shoul be appreciated.

``Something is better than nothing``.

And as far as the mastery of English of Mr. Anwarul Haque is concerned,,, surely it is not at par. But at least he has tried his level best. It is well said that not all are Jack of All and Master of None.

He has tried to bring out an issues of Urdu into English
a rare attempt. he should be encouraged

,,,,,,,,, and why people discourage the budding writers

........Hell! This all happens in India.

I do not know the worth of K. Mazhari`s book, I have not seen or heard about it. But this article fails povide any information about the book. The write-up just regurgitates some other assessors` opinions without context or specification of substance.
It hardly says anything that would indicate that the author has understood anything - if there is indeed anything in the book.

The mastery of English language of the writer is also questionable for communication of clear ideas.

If I had to write on a book like this, I would have provided salient features of the ghazals after 1980 and then discussed them in the context of the developments in the Urdu world since 1980. May be that is what Naqshbandi also has been looking for and finds unsatisfactory.

Descartes said ``Cognito, ergo sum`` NOT Deckard. Deckard was a character in When Androids Dream of Electric Sheep--a sci fi novel by Philip K Dick!

A confusing article which doesn`t do justice to its topic.
Urdu lit. deserves better.
