Mr. Ali:
Why don`t you stick to writing about used and junk cars than writing about anything else?
You might do a better job!, you know!

It is a good informative article.
I would take this opportunity to invite all Hindus to become the worshipers of One True God who has created this universe; and who is known to everyone despite having different names. Reject all false dieties, man-gods, god-mans and anyone or anything that is currently being associated to that One God.
Woh aik Sajda jisey tou Giraan Samajhta hai
Hazaar sajdoon se deta hai Aadmi ko Nijaat.

``The Bhakti devotional cults like Vedanta``
It is hard to believe a person who wrote this is writing a book on Hinduism.
Vedanta was not a Bhakti devotional cult it is a set of philosophies discussed in the Upanishads(which were `sequels` or `culminations` to the Vedas). Shankara was sometimes called an atheist for his particular Advaita Vedanta interpretations so fail to see how it can be called a Bhakti devotional cult.
The contents of the Upanishads were not hidden from the world till the Europeans arrived as the author says, because you find Vedanta philosophy even in the sayings of Kabir.

This guy is preaching to the choir. Nothing you say would change their minds. And THANKFULLY they dont matter $hit in influencing our destiny..

This is not a very well researched article, nor is it a well researched subject or title.
The article has very little content about Hindu philosophy as it concentrates mostly on rites and forms of worship. Neglecting the philosphy behind any religion is not a good thing.
For all you know an animistic religion practised by some tribe in some place may be the oldest continuous religion.
Hinduism has changed all the time and will continue to change given its nature.

Urstruly, I do not think there is any such God in Hindu philosophy.

urstruly I welcome you to the world of the hindu. The Hindu is the onlyone who recognises that there is one and only one god and that he can manifest himself/herself whenever and where ever he wants to.
hindusim is the only true religion since it recognises all to be holy and spiritual since we all belong to that one being - a being which knows no bounds is finite yet infinite is timely yet timelessa caring and compasionate one -
Welcome and join the fold.

[.... become the worshipers of One True God who has created this universe; ...]
Hinuds are already worshippers of the One True God... According to hinud theory - at beginning, the entire universe was filled with water.... Lord Vishnu, the One True God, killed some big-a$$ monster that lived in the water and used the remains to build the first patch of land... and everything else started from there...
So you too are creation of the Mr Vishnu, the One True God... it`s time you revert back to the original faith, the path of Vishnu, the One True God... you have been on the wrong path for a long time - time to get back... :)
Think about it - at the least, you don`t have the risk of getting on cattle-plane to Gitmo... :)

Bigotry avoids public scrutiny. It survives by speaking in tongues.
re: Naqsh bhai # 12
The only thing pitiable has been monotheism as it has been taught and practised by many people.
