lol
reminds me of my time at british steel plant in uk, it was spread over 4 sq miles, 2000 men working in night shift, over 90% mirpuri. the plant had to be shut down for 1/2 an hour every night for isha prayers, it must have cost them millions in lost production. it`s difficult for modern economy to function with this prayer thing.

By the way, Human Development Foundation has an extremely poor rating given their figures, check Charity Navigator and other sites that analyze the numbers of non profits. Until they get their act straight, I do not recommend anyone giving anything to them.

tahmed writes <<< No man should have to watch some troglodyte eat with hands covered with rice. No man should have to watch a neanderthal - particularly a three-piece suit-wearing neanderthal - lift his leg up like a goat and start rubbing his big toe in the sink!! You have my sympathies. You really do. >>>
As always non-issues are blown out of proportion by those possessing the ``bastard mentality`` while real issues that involve why rice does not get to millions every day tens of thousands of whom die of want or why clean water is a luxury for millions is never discussed.

This explains the nick you chose - zee-MAX! I`m telling you, there is need to try to hide the fact that you have a teeny-weeny weiner. All these fantasies about guns and bombs, and women for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
I feel your pain, beta zeemin. Buy a pump. See if that helps. :))
And where`s your picture on Chowk? This dashing, handsome, lady-killer kinda guy? We all know the truth now, don`t we? :) Zee the micro-man. :))

Silly macaca. All those hours of googling and all he comes up with is a moronic article in some jewish magazine and tries to pass it off as the `surrender document of Arabs` he claimed existed .....
Of all the idiot_macacas, this one takes the cake.

hamidm: hmmmmm....I can see you have more serious issues than what I believed to be the case. No man should have to watch some troglodyte eat with hands covered with rice. No man should have to watch a neanderthal - particularly a three-piece suit-wearing neanderthal - lift his leg up like a goat and start rubbing his big toe in the sink!! You have my sympathies. You really do.
Remember Spartacus though. The revolt of the slaves. That is what you need to do - assert your manhood at home. Tell your missus in your deepest voice that from now on there will be certain rules in your household, as follows:
1. Draw the line with the missus on sharing the same table with any individual who eats rice with his/her hands. Just Say No.
2. Draw the line on having to go to a place where footwashers are going to show up - the fact that he is a heart specialist or a nuclear physicist does not change the fact that he is a footwasher-in-the-sink as far as you are concerned. Just Say No.
If the missus proves too strong for you and simply starts laughing when you wag your finger at her and say ``No``....then I have a Plan B for you. But try Plan A first.

....... i do not see the act of public prayer by muslims in the west as a simple display of personal piety - i see it as a strong rejection of western values and a manifestation of the inherent conflict between islam and the west ............ the washing of feet and splashing of water by neurosurgeons and prominent academics does not bother me because it is messy, it bothers me because it is symbol of protest - a reaffirmation of islam - that portends the violence that will surely follow .............right, wrong, or indifferent, muslims view the decadent west as being hostile and on a collision course with islam and, i might add, the feeling is mutual - the west is increasingly concerned about this alien culture that threatens it (again) ............

GT, perhaps you should organize your thoughts in an article.Just a suggestion.Thanks.
#412 Posted by tahmed32 on September 17, 2006 12:48:22 pm
hamidm: You put your finger on the problem when you wrote ``these savages ..... washing their feet in the sink``. That is, you are associating the ``islam`` with the filthy habits of maulvis and forgetting the Islam that the fine students of uet (mughalpura??) practiced when they worked hard and then went to Indus Restaurant in Lahore to listen to the juke box while sipping cold coffee and trying to get the attention of female students from the Fine Arts Department around the corner. That is the Islam I am talking about - where you work honest and you work hard and you dont think you are being sinful if you stop hating your fellow human beings.
Trust me - you can be a muslim and still leave the bathroom as clean and dry as it was when you entered. Allah doesnt want to see you running around with a lota. In fact, is there any mention of the lota in the Quran?? I rest my case.
As for saying prayers in public - the US is big enough to tolerate all kinds of weirdos. Personally, I am against public displays of one`s religious fervor. But if someone gets a kick out of bending down next to the food concession at a baseball stadium (as was the case last year I think with a couple of arabs who were then questioned by security about their strange behavior but let go after they explained they were merely praying for their team to Allah - or something like that), I am sure the world wont come to an end.
I agree with you with the mess they make in Pakistani picnics etc. Here is what I suggest:
1. If attending an open event where hordes of smelly fobs are bound to show up along with their wailing kids, you should show your natural leadership (I know you are a born leader, so dont try to pretend otherwise!!) and organize those fellows - to do clean-up afterwards. I dont guarantee perfect results - but at least there is a hope the school or community center will let you back in.
2. When attending a restricted event, you wont have a problem anyway. I know of at least one regular Pakistani meeting which is restricted - and where us Pakis actually leave the place as clean as it was. People dont bring their wailing kids with them, everyone is nicely dressed up, no one gets into fights over some stupid thing or the other, and so actually get a chance to listen to what is going on..
Notice - the above has nothing to do with Islam or lack thereof!! In fact, in the Pakistani meeting I mention in 2., we often have discussions on muslim culture (including presentations by palestinians etc., and once we had an editor from National Geographic show up to give us a slide show presentation of his visit to muslim countries as part of an article he did on Islam). That is the Islam I am talking about!! Not the stinking Islam of the smelly maulvi who turns every place he goes to into a stable.

Yep - that guy is way ahead in this public piety game.... he has made a fetish out of this public display of utter stupidity... millions of otherwise normal humans behave as automatons under his command...
That`s why I like grandpa gopinath`s sytem... you have some stone/idol in the middle of a small dark room - called Inner Sanctorum or something like... you fold your hands, mumble something, offer some fruit and get the heck out of there....and you are good for another year, or more... or whenever you feel like.... no five times a day business there...
Religion sucks and organized religion sucks even more...too many mullahs and popes are spoiling this world....

tahmed,
........... no, i do not see your point about public prayer !............ in my mind, the way the muslims do it nowdays is akin to public defecation !.......... let me explain before they kill another nun in somalia ......
......... recently i attended a wedding at an upscale country club where the butlers wear white gloves, open collars are frowned upon, and they pipe in mozart`s five movements into the mahogany paneled bathroom stalls to drown out the bowel movements of their members ........ and there they were....... these .... these savages ..... washing their feet in the sink, slopping water all over the floor and sticking their fingers in their ears ! ........... and then they rushed out helter skelter, strewing shoes all over the mahogany floors, wiping their feet on the persian rugs and lining up to pray, traumatizing already handicapped golfers and little white children who had been taught that the bad zulus were in africa and they were safe in the suburbs ! ..................... was this spectacle really necessary ?
........... even more ridiculous are the picnics of the pakistan asssociation or other islamic organizations when hundreds of men ine up in public parks to prostrate themselves while the women line up twenty feet behind them .......... i wouldn`t blame george allen one bit if he saw this and ran away screaming `macaca !``.............
...... look, i know all about this prayer business - i used to live in 11 e-hall at uet in the seventies which overlooked the masjid and i never ever saw more than 5 or 6 people praying ........heck they couldn`t even get two rows of nimazis on friday ........ what has happened since then ? ...... did i miss the second coming of mohammad ? ............
.......... people should not have sex, defecate or pray in public ........period (and that also goes for that silly old german in a white frock)

To my Arab brothers: The War with Israel Is Over — and they won. Now let`s finally move forward
By Youssef M. Ibrahim
http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | With Israel entering its fourth week of an incursion into the same Gaza Strip it voluntarily evacuated a few months ago, a sense of reality among Arabs is spreading through commentary by Arab pundits, letters to the editor, and political talk shows on Arabic-language TV networks. The new views are stunning both in their maturity and in their realism. The best way I can think of to convey them is in the form of a letter to the Palestinian Arabs from their Arab friends:
Dear Palestinian Arab brethren:
The war with Israel is over.
You have lost. Surrender and negotiate to secure a future for your children.
We, your Arab brothers, may say until we are blue in the face that we stand by you, but the wise among you and most of us know that we are moving on, away from the tired old idea of the Palestinian Arab cause and the ``eternal struggle`` with Israel.
Dear friends, you and your leaders have wasted three generations trying to fight for Palestine, but the truth is the Palestine you could have had in 1948 is much bigger than the one you could have had in 1967, which in turn is much bigger than what you may have to settle for now or in another 10 years. Struggle means less land and more misery and utter loneliness.
At the moment, brothers, you would be lucky to secure a semblance of a state in that Gaza Strip into which you have all crowded, and a small part of the West Bank of the Jordan. It isn`t going to get better. Time is running out even for this much land, so here are some facts, figures, and sound advice, friends.
You hold keys, which you drag out for television interviews, to houses that do not exist or are inhabited by Israelis who have no intention of leaving Jaffa, Haifa, Tel Aviv, or West Jerusalem. You shoot old guns at modern Israeli tanks and American-made fighter jets, doing virtually no harm to Israel while bringing the wrath of its mighty army down upon you. You fire ridiculously inept Kassam rockets that cause little destruction and delude yourselves into thinking this is a war of liberation. Your government, your social institutions, your schools, and your economy are all in ruins.

Your young people are growing up illiterate, ill, and bent on rites of death and suicide, while you, in effect, are living on the kindness of foreigners, including America and the United Nations. Every day your officials must beg for your daily bread, dependent on relief trucks that carry food and medicine into the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, while your criminal Muslim fundamentalist Hamas government continues to fan the flames of a war it can neither fight nor hope to win.
In other words, brothers, you are down, out, and alone in a burnt-out landscape that is shrinking by the day.
What kind of struggle is this? Is it worth waging at all? More important, what kind of miserable future does it portend for your children, the fourth or fifth generation of the Arab world`s have-nots?
We, your Arab brothers, have moved on.
Those of us who have oil money are busy accumulating wealth and building housing, luxury developments, state-of-the-art universities and schools, and new highways and byways. Those of us who share borders with Israel, such as Egypt and Jordan, have signed a peace treaty with it and are not going to war for you any time soon. Those of us who are far away, in places like North Africa and Iraq, frankly could not care less about what happens to you.
Only Syria continues to feed your fantasies that someday it will join you in liberating Palestine, even though a huge chunk of its territory, the entire Golan Heights, was taken by Israel in 1967 and annexed. The Syrians, my friends, will gladly fight down to the last Palestinian Arab.
Before you got stuck with this Hamas crowd, another cheating, conniving, leader of yours, Yasser Arafat, sold you a rotten bill of goods — more pain, greater corruption, and millions stolen by his relatives — while your children played in the sewers of Gaza.
The war is over. Why not let a new future begin?

Do your own research, shithead.
[However I`ll reproduce 1000 years of sodomizing of Indian sub-continent by the same Arabs/Afghanis/Persians ..... ]
They only sodomized your cowardly ancestors who were too chicken to fight, or could be persuaded to change their religion for money. My ancestors never gave in. Musloos could never conquer ALL of India.
[I can understand that coming from a funny-face macaca. ]
I still don`t see any pictures of your ugly mug. :) I wonder why. Is it because you are too dark? Or is it because you are too ugly?
[Hindnis etc were just weekend disposables ... they stank anyway and kept asking for cigarettes when I didn`t smoke. The Swiss and the French were the regulars. ]
Yes yes. Swiss, french, Indians - all in Jakarta. Get your penis enlarged. The stub is what is preventing you from getting any. And your bad breath. :))
So your ancestors had arab blood in them, eh? Like any of these sand-niggers?

(See if you can spot your ancestor among the whites)
