I think that does injustice to the millions of Pakistanis who refuse to surrender either Pakistan or Islam to the scoundrels. These are univormed politicians and bearded politicians trying to make deals over who gets to rule over Pakistan - and nothing more. The average Pakistani is much better than the scum that has risen to the surface.

As for saying prayers together - I dont see a problem with that. But if you dont want to, you certainly have a right not to join in (and I have seen people do that in Pakistani parties and no one is bothered by that).

zeemax #382 I am glad we are in agreement then on the need for us to maintain some degree of respect for one another on chowk - even if we have a difference of opinion on something - and for not broadbrushing any community. As for the number of Indians who dont deserve respect - I certainly agree with you on the ones you named. and no doubt there are others.

I am willing to accede to some of your points. Like not wide-brushing communities, but sometimes you have to fight bigotry with bigotry. And I do not agree with you that most of them are `fine people`. I will tell you `who` amongst `them` are fine people in at-least poltical discussions. There are of-course many others like Rajesh, Harish Nambiar in others:

1) Kaalchakra
2) Swarrier
3) BJ Kumar (90%)
4) Dost-Mittar (50%)
5) And that`s all.

If you can think of anyone else, please enlighten me who is not a bigot.

p.s. have you ever wondered why women are exempt from these ritual displays at large gatherings of the faithful? ........ mrs hamidm tells me that it is because most of them are wearing lipstick and nail polish which is not allowed and, besides, they do not want to ruin their clothes - i used to think that muslim women all have their periods at the same time - some kind of a sign from god !

and please dont call all indians ``macacas`` either if you are writing to me. if one of them is ridiculing ``pakis`` and you feel the urge to get back to him - by all means. But lets not make this a habit - overusing a term and applying it to all Indians (most of whom are fine people as far as I can tell) is not the way.

and I in fact used the term ``monkey-man`` for arjun years before george allen used something similar that you and HP jumped on to use (talk about taking the cue from a gora!!). but at least i used it only for limited and focussed use :-) as described above.

These mullah apes can rob the weakest members of Pakistani society - namely women from poor familites - of that last bit of dignity of womanhood that is left to women in a primitive society like Pakistan, i.e. the right to be protected by society from physical assault. But these animals can never touch their souls, and they can never be considered muslims. Are we going to surrender both Islam and Pakistan to these animals?
