Mian - you can`t fight anything... it`s not in your blood... you can`t even fight your own oppression under bedouinism, even after centuries have been past under that occupation... so forget about fighting anything else... :)

Speaking of mullhas and popes - here is an interesting event: this brit priest guy did ganesh puja and ``parish authorities`` are threatening to ``disrobe`` him...
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1998684.cms
``Hart, a professor of theology and religious studies at University of Winchester, says: ``I celebrated Ganesha puja with the same piety and devotion with which I celebrate the Eucharist or namaz.`` His actions, after these were reported in the British media, stirred a hot debate in UK and US, with pressure mounting on parish to disrobe him as a priest of the Church of England.``...

tahmed,
......... i think you are being highly optimistic when you say there are ``millions of Pakistanis who refuse to surrender either Pakistan or Islam to the scoundrels`` ........ once you surrender your soul to al-lah the only person who can save you is the devil ...........
........ as for this prayer in public thingee - what kind of message do you think you are sending to the natives you when a couple of hundred men line up in the grand ball room of the hyatt with shoes spilling out into the corridor and the women huddled in a corner ?.......... if i was a white man i would run home and start getting ready for the inevitable war of civilizations !

hamidm: you write ``n case you dindn`t notice, most good muslims have already surrendered without so much as a whimper``
I think that does injustice to the millions of Pakistanis who refuse to surrender either Pakistan or Islam to the scoundrels. These are univormed politicians and bearded politicians trying to make deals over who gets to rule over Pakistan - and nothing more. The average Pakistani is much better than the scum that has risen to the surface.
As for saying prayers together - I dont see a problem with that. But if you dont want to, you certainly have a right not to join in (and I have seen people do that in Pakistani parties and no one is bothered by that).

zeemax #382 I am glad we are in agreement then on the need for us to maintain some degree of respect for one another on chowk - even if we have a difference of opinion on something - and for not broadbrushing any community. As for the number of Indians who dont deserve respect - I certainly agree with you on the ones you named. and no doubt there are others.
So on that positive note, here is wishing you a good weekend and look forward to chatting with you in future on chowk. :-)

zeemax,
........ you missed the point entirely ! .......... but being a man and all that, doesn`t it strike you as odd that women (other than concubine material `sisters`) do not follow your lead when it comes to public displays of petty piety ?........... maybe our women will save us - it is time for a female mesiah (sorry, tahmed- you will have to wait your turn ) ......

tahmed32,
I am willing to accede to some of your points. Like not wide-brushing communities, but sometimes you have to fight bigotry with bigotry. And I do not agree with you that most of them are `fine people`. I will tell you `who` amongst `them` are fine people in at-least poltical discussions. There are of-course many others like Rajesh, Harish Nambiar in others:
1) Kaalchakra
2) Swarrier
3) BJ Kumar (90%)
4) Dost-Mittar (50%)
5) And that`s all.
If you can think of anyone else, please enlighten me who is not a bigot.

tahmed,
........... ``are you ready to surrender to these scum your right to be a good human being and at the same time consider yourself to be living the life of a good muslim? ``......... in case you dindn`t notice, most good muslims have already surrendered without so much as a whimper ....... the only people who made a little noise are the ppp folks who want to distance themselves from the bearded ones, not because they actually believe that sharia is a travesty, but simply because they think it will be noticed in washington ............
.......... the problem tahmed, is with islam itself - specally the resurgent islam that has been in vogue for past twenty odd years and which is gathering steam like a runaway train headed for disaster ............. let me give you an example : tonight when i go to the hdf dinner and the call for maghrib prayers is made, almost everyone will obesiantly and disgustingly line up like a herd of sheep while i, as a `good muslim`, will sneak off to the bar to fortify myself and pray for their damned souls ..........
p.s. have you ever wondered why women are exempt from these ritual displays at large gatherings of the faithful? ........ mrs hamidm tells me that it is because most of them are wearing lipstick and nail polish which is not allowed and, besides, they do not want to ruin their clothes - i used to think that muslim women all have their periods at the same time - some kind of a sign from god !

and please dont call all indians ``macacas`` either if you are writing to me. if one of them is ridiculing ``pakis`` and you feel the urge to get back to him - by all means. But lets not make this a habit - overusing a term and applying it to all Indians (most of whom are fine people as far as I can tell) is not the way.
and I in fact used the term ``monkey-man`` for arjun years before george allen used something similar that you and HP jumped on to use (talk about taking the cue from a gora!!). but at least i used it only for limited and focussed use :-) as described above.

#377 I am not teaching you anything. I am simply telling you to write like a mature man if you want to address a post to me. I dont do ``abey`` this or that, except with close friends perhaps in real life. Not with strangers on the internet.
#378 Posted by zeemax on September 16, 2006 12:47:59 pm
Anyway ... so all the macacas have been thoroughly thrashed, duly sodomized, and dumped in the trash bins where they belong. Now we talk.

hamidm #370 granted that the Hadood Laws are proof of the evil and oppression of the weak that is conducted in the name of Islam. But are you ready to surrender to these scum your right to be a good human being and at the same time consider yourself to be living the life of a good muslim?
These mullah apes can rob the weakest members of Pakistani society - namely women from poor familites - of that last bit of dignity of womanhood that is left to women in a primitive society like Pakistan, i.e. the right to be protected by society from physical assault. But these animals can never touch their souls, and they can never be considered muslims. Are we going to surrender both Islam and Pakistan to these animals?

#371 abcd: You clearly think that the Quran teaches evil, while I believe it teaches good. You are therefore not a muslim, while I am. To you be your way, to me be mine. Problem solved. :-)
