PM, re Taliban, let me make a point. Hope you will give due consideration to it.
Let`s suppose, you`ve fought your way to power in a country ravaged by twenty years of war, enemies everywhere and noone to trust, just two countries in the entire world recognise you, you need to provide security and build a new social order from remnants of Central Asian and Soviet influences, provide food to the famished, and above all - to achieve some kind of discipline. All alone and isolated. What would you do?
First thing anyone would do is to regiment the society in a strict discipline, and then think about the priorities. DPRK is a living example of the same mindset.
It is wrong to fault Taliban for what they did. They are simple people. Try to befriend them and advise them, rather than trying to bomb them out of existence. They`ll learn if you teach. But if you fight them, they`ll keep hardening and then may God help you.

Thanks. I was always suspicious of this character. You`re right that only this guy is sacrosanct for criticism, and no other. History is so distorted that it`s unbelievable.
Oh well ... better late than never. There`ll always be Mir Jaffars` and Mir Sadiqs`.

that perhaps Muslim parents should keep an eye on their children and report any fundamentalist leanings.
WHOA!! He said muslims parents should watch out for their kids planning to blow up subways!!
How dare he.....racist SOB...
am a (semi) practising Muslim but I am culturally very Anglicised--as are most of Britain`s Muslims and especially those under 30.
Yup...brit-muslims are anglicised...they want the magna sharia...
Poll reveals 40pc of Muslims want sharia law in UK

The fundemental question to be answered is with regard to extra territorial loyalties?
Sympathy yes, loyalty no.
As long as the Muslims are regarded as having extra-territorial loyalties and show no understanding of liberal democracy, the issue of ghettoisation, seperate identites etc will keep coming up.
I expect an Iraqi, or an iranian, or a pakistani a chechen or whoever to bomb me, but never my own country men. That is what needs to be understood.

This article is an attempt to present the victims as the victimizers, as such I disagree with t completely. Let me explain where I am coming from. I do not believe that the veil or the niqab is part of Islam, rather it is part of an adopted tradition, adopted from the judeo-christian communities. The Quran merely asks BOTH men and women to dress modestly and for women to have an extra covering ``over their bosoms`` (not head to toe in any manner). That said, nobody has a right to tell the other how they should dress in whatever society. Why these A-holes can tell Muslims that is because they consider them cattle and sheep which are to be prodded and lead at the master`s bidding. Would Jack Straw tell some American who came to visit him to take off his baseball cap when he visits him. He certainly would not and the American would probably send him to another emergency surgery if he did. They can take liberties with Muslims because they know they have them under their thumbs. They will keep pushing them asking them to make one change after the other and even when all the changes are made they will still not grant them equal status. My advice to Muslims, reject those sons of bitches, If they say white, go black, if they say black, go white. They have no right to treat you in this manner and you are damn fools to accept it. The path of resistance is the path to freedom, instead of being miserable with your own, recognize who your ememies are, you will know them by their behavior, and behave with them in similar manner. You are being all obliging and respectful and what do they treat you like? They treat you like a discarded toe nail. Reject them.

#20:
You mean the Americans should not have been bad to the Brittos in 1756? or the Scots & Welsh , or the Irish people not fight for independance from England? why not?.
The reason Scot or Welsh language is still ``active`` is ``for a reason`` :D . The reason the ``LL`` 21 alphabet names of railways stations in Wales are there...should be apparent. :D
The reason Welsh Parliament ``lets`` english rule is because the Welsh see an advantage in this. :D :D
The englisman (the ugly, Imperialist, secularoon one) is not so un-vulnerable as you might think. Sometimes it is good to learn from the ugly ones as well--for example Divide & Rule! :>
You have no clue about the independance movements in Wales & Scotland. Muslims in England are not leaving England. It is their home. It is the Secularoon Slaves of Indo Paak who are getting fidgety. What the hell have IndianHindus got to do with whatever happens in Palestine, Chechnia, or England? They are land-bound folk; religion should never bother them especially the secularoons among them.

Masadi,
They will keep pushing them asking them to make one change after the other and even when all the changes are made they will still not grant them equal status.
Turks post-Ataturk are the case in point. They bent over backwards but their suits and skirts didn`t help to get them in EU. That should be enough lesson.

interesting titibit I thought would be relevant here.
The brother of a friend of mine (Indian-American-Hindu) is marrying a British-Pakistani-Muslim. He refuses to convert and her family insists on a muslim nikah, so they went around London trying to find a liberal mullah who will conduct the ceremony with no success so far. The most common reason for refusal, is that the mullahs say that though they believe that such a ceremony is OK by them the threat to their life is too great! Also my friend says that they do not permit hindu`s to even enter mosque`s, so even if they find such a mullah and even if the groom converts, the grooms family will not be able to attend!

.... now I remember the speech from a Jamaican in the Hyde Park Speakers` Corner I heard once :
``You Englishmen! When you wake up in the morning, you have morning tea with tea leaves which come from Ceylon; you put in it sugar which comes from Jamaica; and you drink it in fine cups which are made from Indian Clay. And now you ask us to go home? Well .. I want to tell you ... we ARE home!.``
Come to think of it ... did the East India Company obtain any Visas to come to Mughal India?

For the same reason the secularoons & the goray-kay-ghulaams are upset when kicked out of Commonwealth.
It is Secularoon army which really controls everything in Turkey which wants to be part of EU.
For muslims it does not matter.
Know ye not that be it Turki or Saudi, both slaves of the West? One is controlled through the army-secular constituition nexus and the other by the Monarchy-Wahabi nexus.

Uncle ji,
I think this veil issue is raised more as a security concern than attack on some religous or ethnic belief and traditions ( Dude just look under the hood or abaya what the pious lady is carrying, may be a couple of kilos of heroine or dynamite sticks for her Dark Justice type of ideology).I think sometimes people take too much liberty of the western values of freedom and tolerance. Why create this Us vs Them or ``we are different, you know`` type of divides. We are not here for your lousy dollars or pounds? we are here to revive the Caliphate after earning our two bits of bread and butter, and peace of mind .This veil issue would never have become such a hype if there weren`t these fanatic jihadi elements.
Once some fun loving ants were enjoying a sun bath in a pond.Suddenly an equally fun loving eliphant jumped in the pond and created a huge splash. Most of the ants ended up out of the pond riding the waves.Soon they gained their senses to look back what the heck happened. One of the brave ants somehow managed to get on top of the elephant via its tail.Seeing this act of bravado by their lone marauder the ants on the shore started whisteling and cheering and shouting ``Shabaash!!!!! Shabaash!!! Saalay ko dabo dabo k maar, for spoiling our fun``.

True. It only takes a single ant to travel up the elepahant`s snout to it`s brain, and kill it.
