Re: # 67 by taikonaut

I have heard of them and yes plan to see `em at some point later bearing that I shall stand as a sexually non-narrow-minded while watching : )

Sounds like a plan :)

Sexually exposed material represents that the producers/director and viewers/demanders have an acceptable behavior towards it. If any conservative group associates them to primitives and further attempts to eradicate it from their society, it is the conservative group being primeval–reason being is that at such a stage when one accepts such behaviour, they are way, way, past the right/wrong thinking phase. Teaching them the right/wrong will instead fire-up any situation where there merely will be resolutions.

Not sure what you wanted to say here.

Re: # 75 by taikonaut
The line after that para was supposed to define it.

[Actual events, thought process, like/dislike, opinions and actions take place before any event/movie is broadcasted. Hoping you’ll conclude something out of this yourself. ]

Meaning, it is too late to fight sex in media, for fighting off the media will not stop any relevant activities in a society.

Anyhow, is this where this topic was supposed to lead to?

What now?
RB

Hey dear sauce! Crackpot? Me? It seems to be you because you’ve forgotten what you wrote for ntsyed in so short a time. Alright now don’t start cryin’, you’ll be FINE!

#30 romair, look what you have done - turned an interesting board into another india-pak, hindu-muslim pissing contest.

ntsyed, shouldn`t you be reading the koran instead of engaging in useless banter?

Anyhow, here I am --a female, talking about it. What now?!

Questions? Ask away.

cool! Do you plan to see any of the ``free spirited`` free speech movies (listed in this discussion) with touchy scenes and even touchier subjects?

Or if you have seen any of these, then your comments will be highly appreciated. I mean why to turn this threat into another ``india or Pakistan bashing`` series.

Freedom of expression! Ha! Mr raheel says “You are free to express things but there are certain ways in which it should be done” –that is not freedom of expression (Freedom of expression includes the “way” one represents ideas too)

Anyhow, sexual media does not need approval; instead, it is elevating to newer levels according to demands. Whether you approve it or not, it will be there and it’s your choice to turn your eyes or minds away.

One needn’t stop millions of certain activities just to grow up ‘clean’,
RB

I guess sex is about intimacy and showing real sex publicaly is wrong as it is not an issue of freedom of expression. You are free to express things but there are certain ways in which it should be done.

I am sorry that this discussion has deteriorated into a slugging match.

Does anyone think that Indian cinema will show explicit sex within the next decade in Bollywood movies? How about Pakistan? How long before a mainstream Hollywood film gets in on the act? (The Brown Bunny was an independent film although it did star Chloe Sevigny who gave director and star Vincent Gallo a graphic blowjob). Any idea when we will see actual homosexual activity--a real test of a liberal attitude in society
in the USA with an A grade actor?

All of the above have already occured in EU cinema!

Re:ntsyed#54

[...BTW, when you use claim to be cultured and civilized, do you refer to the language in posts #49 - 51? Embarrassing, isn`t it? But that`s okay...you`ve gotta be you...]

You started this whole exchange on this board when in post #37, you made uncalled for, unprovoked offensive statements against hinduism, saying that hinduism and hindus are perverted and so forth.

You said all this knowing full well that hinduism is 5000 years old faith with a conservative culture and a rich tradition starting with the Vedas.

If you think you glorify Islam by putting down other religions and making ignorant dumb attacks, you are wrong. Real Islam is not like that. I have many muslim friends and what you indulge in is pure jahiliyat. Real muslims respect other religions and cultures.
