...what you are refering to is an abstraction of this term
capt clueless: you`re clutching at straws..abstract straws at that..
like DM said, the world outside the paki echo-chamber of self-delusion associates the India of today with Indian civilization..
for the non-paki world: The India of today is the India in Indian ocean..as painful as that might be for you...

dost-mittar #101: ...it is good to see a more informative reply......civilization is a word with a specific meaning......hence it cannot simply be defined by anyone, as and how they wish...
...what you are refering to is an abstraction of this term....in that sense, all of us are a part of a human civilization.....however, country does not equal civilzation.....
``Not only are all of us Indians deluded into thinking that we have inherited a civilization, so does the rest of the world. A search on google under `indian civilization` yielded 1,390,000 entries and they are not exactly proving that there is no such thing as Indian civilisation. Interestingly, the google search also yielded 1, 250,000 entries for `pakistani civilisation` and they all relate to the same civilisation that is described under `indian civilization`.``
....yes, there is no shortage of deluded individuals in this world.....however, i would prefer that people make efforts to get out of that list and not to enter it......if the criteria i have described are not the defining factors for a civilization, then could you highlight what the criteria should be.....
......as i have mentioned earlier, the only criteria that historic, ``india`` meets is that of religion......nothing else.......similarly, europe is not a historical civilization.......i am surprised you are refering to it as one.......are you seriously suggesting that moorish spain, ottoman hungary, ottoman albania, hapsburgs, romans and greeks were one historical civilizaion!
the terms greek, ``civilization`` and roman, ``civilazation`` are used more for civlizations than any other.......and both greece and rome are a part of europe....two civilizations (out of many) in one georaphical area......
......europe is a geographical continent....yes, one could argue that over time, due to intermixing and freedom of movement, it is combining into a civilization, i.e. western civilization...........however, it historically never was one......
.......the same thing will probably happen with india and pakistan, over the coming century......if these two countries remain separate, with little interaction, then west and east punjab, which are part of one civilization today, may look completely different 100 years from now......
as for you and i.......we are not part of an indian (or pakistani) civilization......we are part of a punjabi civilization.......with a few additions here and there.......but overwhelmingly punjabi.....as is bhatti saab and various others......which is why, even though i have not met you, i can make a bet that we look similar, eat the same food, dress similary, speak the same language, sing the same songs at weddings, etc.........as would bhatti saab (if he decided to shave himself)......
which is something i could not say about, say, abdul kalam (president of india)....who would be quite different from both of us......

You already demonstrated that you were a two-taka liar in your first post. You have now demonstrated once again why we Pakistanis have to be grateful to Jinnah.
Now you can go to hell. Have a nice day, hindu man. :-)

HP sain you are so right ... i am so embarassed about all indian curry-shyte so last diwali i invited my neighbors for some illegal fireworks on a relatively secluded cul-de sac and plied them with curried samosey and mithai and their kids with pyroshyte. unfortunatley, my effort about being an ambassador of indian culturism was a total waste on some more distant neighbors (those i did not know well-enough). one of them told my immediate neighbor in confidence.... ``this is really nice..now only if rest of the pakistani-muslims were so nice and friendly on their christmas instead of the usual bombing, we will have a peaceful world.

Hiya HP
Haldi is so terrible that these educated Americans were trying to take out a patent on turmeric for medicinal purposes some years ago. They even succeeded but the decision was reversed because us dog doo people already had the same idea a few thousand years ago.
You should not frequent such chat rooms with these international experts. No wonder American foreign policy experts found themselves in dog doo in Iraq. They`ve been frequenting the same chat rooms for ideas.

Enjoy this conversation about Indian civilization and Indian food.....
Wtf is Haldi milk? Is it true that Indians put turmeric in milk and drink it?
Here I was at a site discussing health food with some folks in a chat room. Within minutes the chat room was inundated with comments when one apparently Indian commentator claimed that he drinks Turmeric in milk for relief from cold. I and others just refused to believe that any human can actually put Haldi in Milk.
Here are some samples from that discussion.
“Yeah, I love Indian food too but let`s not forget that their country is a cesspool that makes any American darktown look like advanced civilization. Also, they clean their ass with their bare hands. Filthy savages I tell you.”
“`m on the bandwagon that some people from India have serious body odor. My son and I were waiting in line to board our plane and stood behind a woman obviously from India. The smell was so bad we almost became ill. My only memory of smelling anything like it was smelling a beer late at night going through rotten garbage. We prayed shit she wasn`t going to sit next to us. Fortunately for us she didn`t. It wasn`t the curry either. PEOPLE FROM INDIA: TAKE A SHOWER!”
“Indian food= dog doo. The English just don`t know any better because its better than what they were eating before.”
Did someone say Indian is sensual? So, gathering food w/ your hands, even sloppy food, is sensual. Did someone else say Indian food is healthy? Each time I go out for Indian food w/ my wife (once ever 3 months), I skip the next 2 meals. The cooking is in general, very rich and heavy. In my opinion, that may explain why the old Indian people are fat and unhealthy. another thing is the odor. Taking a shower will not rid the smell. It`s in the skin. I guess the definitions of sensuality and healthy are different for some.
Indian people love to eat curry because the food is hot therefore they could not eat too much. The Indian people are poor so less meal to fit the families.
“Indian people ate curry or other food with their bare hands then clean them on their head. That is why Indian`s hair is always greasy and their bodies stink. “
“Right on MrPooh.. Curry stinks not only through the skin, but it also stinks out innocent people from their apartment complex`s. I had Indian neighbors in CT once, and it smelled so bad they forced me to move to Boston, (and I hate the Red Sox more than Curry). Not to mention, it also is bad for people with IBS.”
“Posted by Vishnu on 01/08/2007, 14:34
I have been eating curry for nearly 50 years, and as a result, my member has shrunk to only 2 inches long at the height of my passion. I think that Indian women have conspired to make all us Indian men look ridiculous in the locker room. I am angry at my lack of endowment.”
LOL! read this: HAHAHAHA!
“Indian people eat curry or other food with their bare hands then clean them on their head. That is why Indian`s hair is always greasy and their bodies stink.”
On further research I found the recipe for Haldi milk.
Another variation of the haldi milk is one part haldi one part salt boiled in a cup of water down to half a cup. You can kiss your flu goodbye.…
So the above is what American think of Indian Civilization and obviously the Indian CUISINE.....dog doo?
This civilization stuff is fun....

Forget about civilization....
Here is the real conspiracy theory by now the civilization guru....
Why all idiots show up here?
Indian foreign policy was designed and still fighting to thwart the long held British and American policy to maintain Pakistan as ``a check on Indian potential ``.
Obviously, most of the Indian foreign policy stalwarts (some here too) had no Idea what the Indian potential was.
Indian potential was something first the Brits, and now the American keep as a major secret......
Here is a money quote from potential_null the Idiot Indian foreign policy guru.
“Act as a check on India’s potential” conspiracy theory in a nutshell….
“Pakistan (in the form of a separate nation in its current position, always balancing against India rather than bandwagoning with India) was seen as necessary for the protection of British interests. Subsequently the Americans have taken over the hand the British were playing.
From the Anglo-American perspective, Pakistan’s major utility is to act as a check on India’s potential and an instrument for modulating India`s actions. ``
It is the potential thing...now the potential civilization theory....

Typical shallow knee-jerk reaction.
Try dismantling the entire domestic security forces structure, constitutionally disenfranchising the Sunnis and getting into bed with Pro-Iranian Shia clergy (read Al-Hakim and the Badr Brigade) offering them a better dig than Iran, persuading the Kurds to letting the Turks in, and letting the Sadr militia death squads loose in an attempt to ethnically cleanse Baghdad.
Certainly the Sunnis are not going to sit around. They now regard Shias as collaborators and so it will go on. These rivalries run deep and were always simmering in the background since Karbala, which Saddam had contained. What the Americans did intentionally was to let the genie out of the bottle. The problem is that once the genie is out of the bottle, it is impossible to put it back in ... and who knows where the genie may head next?
But certainly all this is beyond you. This is for the benefit of the other interactors.

[...t has actually achieved it`s mid-term objectives ....]
Yes it has... with a lot of help from muslims, who are killing each other in droves just to make sure US mid-term objectives are fulfilled...
So basically - Al-Sadr, sunni militias, shia militisa, bathists, alqaeda and all other sundry insurgent groups that are active in the killing fields of iraq - they are all in Uncle Sam`s pocket, they are all working for americans, doing the dirty for work the americans... how about that for a conspiracy theory...? :)
