If you are also suffering from Bipolar and associated depression you should compare with males with similar problems and not generalise. There are males who suffer from ,,,,,atleast those who have inadequacy ....either disability or low achievement.Imposter syndrome is not gender specific or confined?

One has to learn to rationalize things no matter what and thereafter believe in himself/herself.... Everything is controlled by your mind and it`s an art to train a mind to think accordingly ... BUT if you take small steps/projects/things in life optimistically and work on achieving them ...you truly will train your mind to drive things positively ..

dear sapna...i enjoyed your article. being a psychotherapist i am aware that most of my
patients are women and most of them suffer from low self esteem and self worth. it is hard
for them to unlearn what they learnt in their childhood. but to unlearn the childhood
conditionaing might be difficult but not impossible. i think being surrounded by caring and
nurturing friends, who like, appreciate and cherish good qualities in friends is one of the
ways to undo the process. i am sure your article will make many women aware of the work
they need to do to enjoy their lives....sincerely sohail
