Swarrier,
Para 1: Depends on what kind of talent. A star may be Marilyn Monroe or a Katharine Hepburn.
Para 2: Perhaps Mrs swarrier is right. Certainly private life of public figures is different.
Para 3: Bon Apetit`! Couldn`t agree more.

Celebrities are well known for their well known-ness. So in the face of public glare they will dress to shock, flaunt, attract papa-razzi. Most of them at home would be dressed in simple clothes.
My wife who at one time used to interview some of these individuals remarked that you could hardly recognise them as the same people when they were set in a different milieu.
Clothes don`t maketh the man .......
On the other hand Papa-razzi is a good little Italian restaurant near my work place. Nice food and wine , some heavy chianti with the red meat is good in moderation. -)

Yeah swarrier, I don`t like that pic of Imran as well, but that`s the only time he accepted a modelling assignment. You`re right, it is gigolo-ish ... bad judgement on his part.
Re people being free to wear what they choose, sure ... but would you agree that a person`s personality at first encounter is revealed alone by what he/she wears?

That is a silly statement. By the same token a bare chested Imran Khan`s photograph is nothing more than a male gigolo preening for some female company.
People can wear what they choose. Lack of dress sense should not be confused with a perceived lack of morals or extreme libido

Yaar they were summoned to FO and they apologised. What do you expect Pakistan to do, attack NATO? That, they`re already doing in an indirect sort of way, and you know that and keep barking about that as well.
Now will you shut up?

#221 by nb,
Well ... if the gentleman fell for her brains, I would be really impressed.
Besides, what would you call similarly dressed women in fish tanks lounging around in red light districts around the world? Leaves little to the imagination ... I would say .. or is it just that curious bit left to imagination to keep them interested?
Not that I object though :-)

Liz Hurley is an individual in her own right and can support herself and a lot of other folks if necessary. The rest is merely male inadequacy.

Why did the paki dignity warriors suddenly go silent? Could it have something to do with NATO bombing pakis on paki soil and paki dignity taking a major hit(without pakis doing anything about it)...
The reality is that peemax and the other paki dignity warriors are frikking pussies..just like this guy..the chances of zeemax and umran javed salvaging their dignity and going back to their goats in karachi: ZERO....
Muslim: I didn`t mean bomb U.S.
LONDON, England (Reuters) -- A British Muslim said on Wednesday he regretted calling for the United States and Denmark to be bombed during a protest in London last year against publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed.
Umran Javed, who is on trial accused of soliciting murder and inciting racial hatred, told London`s Old Bailey criminal court he got carried away during last February`s demonstration outside the Danish Embassy in the British capital.
He said he had not intended to say anything at the protest, prompted by the publication of cartoons in a Danish newspaper that many Muslims considered insulting to Islam, until a megaphone was thrust into his hands.
``I regret saying these things, they were just sound bites, slogans,`` said Javed, 27, who had travelled from his home in Birmingham, central England, to take part in the demonstration.
``I do not want to see Denmark being bombed or the USA. I was disappointed I said these things. I made the statements in an emotionally charged atmosphere. These things were the only thing that came into my mind.``

I`ve just seen a headline about him on the cover of Harper`s, talking about ``Jemima and Islam``; he still doesn`t make headlines alone.
However, this is not the main point. I am concened that calling Liz Hurley a whore because of her clothes and asking what make would let his wife go out like that (is she anyone`s property?) is just a short step away from saying women get raped because of what they wear.
