Its the `ROOh` or Soul we are talking about....After life is believed to be for judgement only not reincarnationTHAT THERE WOULD BE A QUALITIVELY another LIFE FOR THE DEAD SOUL.
Physical body can be eaten by worm or disposed but spirit ,souls `rooh` is specific to single life and single person

Good to see BodyWorlds here. It was exhibiting in Vancouver a few weeks back. Intensely moving to see it. Unfortunately I don`t see the cadavars as Christain bodies, just people who donated their bodies to the cause of increasing human awareness and knowledge. To my mind much nicer than being eaten by worms in a dank and horrible grave.

Re: # 7

If death is an interface to some kind of after life then that after life must by qualitatively different from this life else purpose of death as an interface is meaningless.

And if parameters of existence after death are different then concept of hell and heaven are bogus because they are merely extension of existing life.

#6 all faiths Those that bury)including judeo christian islamic believe ....dead will rise from there graves..now i may or may not believe just as your single person opinion is limited to yourself...

Part of the belief is Judgemant day and how there can be judgment without atleast the dead`s soul being present....

Art is about aesthetic and anything that provides sense of aesthetic exhilaration is art. Interesting phrase ‘sorrow of death’ contrasting with athletic action images.

Morbidity is the other name of western civilization. Such phenomenon as the one described above could only be produced by a civilization, which does not believe in any after-life and which regards human bodies as mere material objects. Artistic presentation of corpses-what an idea!

This i had always mused while dissecting dead bodies in anatomy class...when we can apply our anatomical knowledge (a scientific fact)to our daily perspective..would not there be reinforcing of universility and bordrless world devoid of class if we accepted the fact that all humans are IDENTICAL regardless of there NAMES
