Let’s not Barter Away Our Food Security for GM Crops

It seems ludicrous that Pakistan is so concerned over its force security and is so poor at comprehending its Agricultural and economic security. Considering the importance of incomes in the Agricultural sector, from one end to the other, to effectively mortgage those incomes to foreign corporations seems like a remarkable shot in the foot.
There has never been an instance in any of the GM crop-planting, tests or otherwise, where the altered genes have remained on the farm. They resistance they incorporate gets into the wild and is adapted for. The case of BtCotton has been that new pests have taken the place of the borer; in theory, new seed has an effective deterrent capacity of five years.
(U.Cal. Riverside). The increase in GMSoy acreage is a slightly different case: with this the yield is higher but also requires proportionally higher inputs, and actually quite a bit more in terms of water, the modification does not involve the crop producing toxins, as it does with BtCotton.

Eventually, these farmers will be selling medium grade crops with (much) higher input costs than before; personally, i am surprised the banking sector would agree to these loans.
On the other hand, if these GM seeds can be drought-resistant then they make excellent sense.
Finally, there are many better ways to improve the incomes of `poor` farmers- let us not be misled that these modified crops are designed for this purpose. Union for Concerned Scientists, W.Dc, have undertaken strong, reliable studies on this. US farmers had a real disadvantage and stopped using them. And this, is, I suspect, the real reason why they are being sent to the developing world.

I am against these things which are against ways of nature.
Presently most of food we eat is plastics full of chemicals and oxidents and meats are most dangerous as we are eating animals who are grazing on antibiotics and growth hormons resulting in very bad side effects and people are affected by so many new diseases. It is well known fact ``aids`` disease was out come of some scientist playing god and mixing chemicals and giving to monkeys to see how they are affected. Now this disease is world problem. Now they are putting genes of pigs and monkeys in eatable products so they grow fast and gain weight fast.They have put genes of Pig into sheep and goats. So this monster ``Goat or sheep`` puts lots of weight and fat. Now after people eat, they are not just eating dead animal but those genes and that makes people obase fat as your body is fed on chemicals eaten by Monster goat. So people at young age become very fat and women start getting facial hairs and men start loosing hair at age of 25 years and hair shooting from ears like weeds. They process meats and put chemical that lead to disease like obesity and at worst cancer type trouble. Also they put radiaon , death rays on meats and cereals so they can go for long time. So you eat that stuff and nucleat disease attacks your body. Also vegetable food is processed. First they take away vitamins, minerals and they put back ``Vitamins and minerals`` produced in giant chemical factories who use crude oil to produce them.
But as there are too many people in world and specially poor who can not afford to have more children breeds like rats. This produces demand on food. Basically unless population is reduced we are destined to eat these poisoned foods.
Same way too many dams and people are getting dead water from dams its not like flowing air enriched water like before dams. Also people are drinking water from dams which has passed through turbine which takes out all power and lifeless water devoid of energy ( energy is already taken out of it). I have observed lots of young people needing glasses even before age of 16 as they spend miost time looking at TV and light from bulbs is quite harmful for eyes , earlier times when there were no electric bulbs most people have light fron sun Naturally.
Best way is to reduce population so we can have sufficient neutrious nonpoisonous food.
Overpopualtion forces this food engineering.
