No there isn`t any, nor has been since centuries.
Now people look for Pirs` graves, light `dyas` on them, sprinkle perfume, leave some offerings in cash or kind, and pray that the Pir may give them a male off-spring, success in business, or melt their beloveds` hearts towards them (Mehboob aap key qadmon mein).
There are many living Pirs as well ... but it would be better they died soon so that people would have graves to worship than living Pirs leading them astray, to light `dyas` and distribute `degs` (big pots of biryani) at their mazaars so they could intercede with Allah to fulfill their wishes.

In India,we have lot of fake ``Godman`` and very few real Gurus..I think same must be true in Sindh.By authentic,I mean a saint who is considered to be a God realized person by majority of intellegent people.

#68 by prajiv,
What do you mean by `authentic` Sufi saints in Sindh? Can you define what`s an `authentic` sufii saint?

#64 by HP,
I hope you`re right. While it`s correct that Sindhis overall hold more seats than anyone else in the provincial assembly, but when even committed people like Makhdoom Rafiq-uz-Zaman ( I admire him though I don`t know your views) are out of the picture, and when all Pir Pagara can say is that he can hear the marching boots and waiting for left-right to reach his ears, I don`t see any leadership. Do you?

It will be very easy to respond with the same vilification that u have demonstrated, but that wud niether add to the debate or change your opinion.
I will repeat, go read some books and broaden your horizons and do not get exploited by the wahabi lucifer who stokes sectarian and ethnic fires to suite his master`s bidding.

``Please tell me if I`m wrong. ``
There is something called decency and Sharafat. Sindhis traditionally are sharif and would not respond to the mohajir goonda gardi. Sindhi count a lot in Karachi. They still hold more seats than any other party in Karachi barring the goonda/Bharwa group.
One thing is for sure, Sindhis would fight for their issues like decent and honorable people. Like every sharif adami, they may look out of the picture right now but their brand of politics will sway the land in the end.

Dhammal is another sufi tradition. It is like you have too much of Bhang and then you start dancing.. It is like the HAAL during Qawali.
Yes that`s all it is. But our good brother Naqshbandi terms it as `Zikr` to find Allah ! (rolling eyes icon)

HP, giving food and shelter to some people who came to Sindh without food and shelter is not sufi-ism, but letting the camel stick his neck into the tent for heat and letting it occupy the whole is indeed sufi-ism while in a drunken stupor of individualistic hedonism.
My greatest lament, as I have said before, is that the Sindhis now do not even count in the equation for Karchi`s political settlement. They`re not even a leg of the three-legged stool (using the Hong Kong negotiations analogy of China, Britain and the Hong Kong people) which are Altaphis, Punjabis and Pushtoons.
Please tell me if I`m wrong. Qadir Magsi notwithstanding but his is a small voice.

``HP you forgot in your list the Dhammal``
Yeah! Dhammal is another sufi tradition. It is like you have too much of Bhang and then you start dancing.. It is like the HAAL during Qawali. Some people fake it and others just think qawal did a spiritual number on the faker.
Altaf bhaand kaa HAAL aab nikala ja kay....

``Sindhis are all sufis and they don`t mind blasphemy ... so ... That`s why your altafi bhayyas have run all over them and captured their lands. It is their moth-eaten mindset through sufiism.``
So giving food and shelter to some people who came to Sindh without food and shelter is now sufi-ism?
It is the Sindhi humanitarianism that helped these paupers when they needed the help most.
We just did not know we nurtured the snakes....Yeah, perhaps that was sufi-ism sindhis were probably high on Charas and Bhang...

... that reminds me of what Bishop Desmond Tutu had said:
``When they came to Africa, they had the Bible and we had the Land. They asked us to close our eyes and handed us the Bible. When we opened our eyes, we still had the Bible but they had the Land``
