It will be very easy to respond with the same vilification that u have demonstrated, but that wud niether add to the debate or change your opinion.
I will repeat, go read some books and broaden your horizons and do not get exploited by the wahabi lucifer who stokes sectarian and ethnic fires to suite his master`s bidding.

I hope you`re right. While it`s correct that Sindhis overall hold more seats than anyone else in the provincial assembly, but when even committed people like Makhdoom Rafiq-uz-Zaman ( I admire him though I don`t know your views) are out of the picture, and when all Pir Pagara can say is that he can hear the marching boots and waiting for left-right to reach his ears, I don`t see any leadership. Do you?

#68 by prajiv,
What do you mean by `authentic` Sufi saints in Sindh? Can you define what`s an `authentic` sufii saint?

In India,we have lot of fake ``Godman`` and very few real Gurus..I think same must be true in Sindh.By authentic,I mean a saint who is considered to be a God realized person by majority of intellegent people.

#70 by prajiv,
No there isn`t any, nor has been since centuries.
Now people look for Pirs` graves, light `dyas` on them, sprinkle perfume, leave some offerings in cash or kind, and pray that the Pir may give them a male off-spring, success in business, or melt their beloveds` hearts towards them (Mehboob aap key qadmon mein).
There are many living Pirs as well ... but it would be better they died soon so that people would have graves to worship than living Pirs leading them astray, to light `dyas` and distribute `degs` (big pots of biryani) at their mazaars so they could intercede with Allah to fulfill their wishes.

Reall zee, we Indians can be really stupid in matters of religion, but what the holy shyt could be a Godman?! Perhaps some new species of gorilla discovered in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh. That must be it!

Haha ... ther`re actually `no` ascetic Godman ..... Only Ghazis ...
``Yeh ghazi yeh terey pur-israar bandey;
Jinhey tu ney bakhsha hai zoq-e-khudai``
TR:
These warriors in your path, these mysterious men;
Upon whom you have bestowed how to attain you.

Wonder what Iqbal would have said to these Indians talking in strange tongues of having spotted a ``Godman`` - A Bigfoot or Yeti like creature. :)
Gurus and ghazis, one understands, but a Godman! Only in India, these monstrosities!
Once Prajiv returns I would like to find out if this Godman creature is found only in India (most likely, in and around Prajiv`s home), or any other place on earth too?

Guys...Guys...why are you screwing me for ``Godman`` ? No its not an animal found in India.
Its a person who cheat innocent faithful people...you can call them ``Guru``,``Maharaj``,``Baba`` etc. I don`t have any reason to believe that these kind of people are found in India only.

True, I fail to understand what all of what Nadeem said has to do with the threats Salman Ahmed recieved. Its just that Nadeem likes to write against Junoon, so he just had to, whether or not he had any evidence of what Salman said was false (or true for that matter). And yes, he does have a beef with talented people like JJ, Inzi, Salman, Rohail etc. There was also a case of the singer whose song `Chief Sahib` was though of depicting Altaf Hussain or maybe some Haqeeqi leader was picked up and his head shaven. Not sure if that was true or not but MQM has threatened people in the city.
MQM is the biggest scum in Pakistan, and those that support it are merely their paid propogandists or they receive some sort of protection which provides them with a bit of security in Karachi. Though Imran Khan is not a politician by any means, we as a nation wish him best of luck in this cause to extradite Altaf. I dont care whether he has fornicated women, forms alliances with the mollahs, or marries a Jew who converts to Islam. He is a citizen of Pakistan and should be allowed to do travel to other cities like he wishes. The present meaures taken by this Government after they realized a 10 year old lousy politician was getting so much support all of a sudden, are just pathetic. The Musharraf/MQM regime is coming to an end.
