BTW did youguys know that all of the scotch comes from the same set of grains. The effing alchohol is the same colourless liquid. You pay for the marketing and nothing more.
When I was in Scotland a few years back, I did this tour. And in every distillery I made it a point to check out the distilled stuff as it came though the box, (before it matured in the casks) it was a colourless odourless liquid. the colour etc came later when put in the casks and allowed to stand. That is when I said, hell the tharra is just as good as this - only the poor chaps are lousy at marketting that stuff!

#935 a bit dull that. On occasions can be just a bit rough. Nevertheless, is a good drink there.
But get a Jura, or a peaty one like Laphroaig. Now that, the last one, is like the tharra I ussed to by back home. Rough as hell, but the after shock is great!

#934 I know you did not adress that to me, but man, you need some therapy if you like that kind of adulterated liquid! Just my thoughts.

Besides, he`s such a coward that he turned Muslim to beg forgiveness, and when the Muslims accepted that and left him alone, turned murtid again. But you wouldn`t know that, now would you?

That is the most god awful piss you like? Your palate must be seriously damaged after that Chivas and stuff. Get your self a good speyside malt, or better still your local tharra would serve you better.

#928 by hamidm2,
Yeah I know. All the hindoos (even sikhs ... even Dr. Lokraj) are jumping up and down about it on UP. I don`t see the big deal at all. The British even bestow knighthood on their dogs.
But what good is a `Sir` prefix anyway if you can`t even go to the neighbourhood super mart to get a six-pack of heineken for fear of losing your hat-stand?

Re: # 910Hamid Saheb,
I`m surprised at your claim that you`re muslim. Islam does not admit dissent. You`re constantly questionning it. In another post, you were wondering why Hindus or Christians don`t get worked up. It is precisely in Hinduism, there is nothing sacred as long as Hindus are not tempted to react as the monotheistic religions which practice mutual exclusion. Every hindu `god`, mythological or historical are full of human traits and thus failings. Christians have since long learnt their lessons and adopted the concept of secularism to separate reason from the myths of convenience. Somehow Renaissance period brought back ancient Greece... arts and surrepticiously philosophies (myths!!!) which were very much like Hinduism. Ancient greece subverted christian dogma.
Can you really claim to be Muslim while not even giving allegoric credence to Quran?
I must admit that I`m a regular chowk visitor and so know sufficiently about the usual interactors positions. I love reading chowk posts, usually full of bright ideas and just envy your intellect. Though tempted at times to clap Gill Saheb, yourself and some others, but somehow I do not dare getting in the melee as even very bright chowkees do not hesitate a descent to hell when they don`t like something. Rgds.

zeemax,
........ i hate to rub it in, but that`s why the rest of the world thinks the muslims are primitive and irrational folks who have to tamed .......
........ by the way, did you hear about sir salman rushdie :
Rushdie knighted in honours list
Salman Rushdie, who went into hiding under threat of death after an Iranian fatwa, has been knighted by the Queen. His book The Satanic Verses offended Muslims worldwide and a bounty was placed on his head in 1989.
But since the Indian-born author returned to public life in 1999, he has not shied away from controversy.

hi zeemax! Not these days, not these days. My pet macaca has disappeared from Chowk UP and does not even put itn a guest appearence these days.
Has there been a change of order on Chowk?
I see you are still trying to peddle the same old same old like a snake oil salesman? Give it up. No profit in it, do yourself a favour and rescue your soul that is a good enough deed in this world.
