What is funny about my coming to HamidM`s defence? HamidM is one of the orginal interactors on Chowk and makes this site a better place. Difference of political opinion is not legitimate cause to criticize someone`s family in such a disgusting manner. Utrtruly and HamidM are poles apart in their worldview but do not resort to such abuse.

Guys, I insulted Abu Sufwaan because of what he said to a Pakistani interactor. I could have been a bystander but I opted not to be one. And I don`t see a single Pakistani interactor being outraged at the insults thrown out to Pakistani daughters of HamidM.

it is utterly disgusting for whatever abu_safwan and zeemax and others routinely dish out (specifically targeting hamidm and his family). But what can you do? I am used to this kind of abuse. It is like this - question the fundamentals of Islam and it is considered fair game that you`d be denied the humanity and for that matter in real life at a wrong time and a wrong place, you will be cut short by the height of your head.

Question the fundamentals of Islam and the other side will turn into barbarians. This actually was illustrative to me personally as to how Islamic neurosis worked among people and how it let out the savage wrapped in islamic packing, if you try to mess around with it too much.

Why are you always so serious? Look, Hamid has been giving it out much more than he has been getting. If zee and abu had Hamid`s writing skills ... the daughters would not have been brought in. Furthermore, for all I know hamid may have no daughters ... and one of his sons might have dropped out of Harvard and now is sporting a long beard. For all I know, hamid might be having a good laugh over all this nonsense going on.

I am not interested to appreciate the humor in this situation GT. Sorry. I was just making a point on how islamists react to a theological argument (hamidm or no hamidm) by total abuse and complete elimination of this other side, if possible. This is not some new thing, I am saying, I thought it was kind of relevant given the goings on on this board. Thanks.

Agreed. I think I see your point. But I don`t think HamidM has subjected the religion or the prophet to such insults as are being warranted. I have no objection to Abu Safwaan abusing me; or Arjun..then I would be a bystander. But to make sexually demeaning remarks about someone`s daughters..that too in the name of religion?

And to top it, a fucking supposedly pious crowd gathers around to mock someone who is abusing the long dead prophet, but not someone`s daughter? What kind of lack of humanity does this religion posess?

GT, actually, I read this post later. Yes, I think I have been applying a douible standard...one for HamidM, where I take his internet posts as a reflection of reality, and another in which I discount any proof of reality.

I think my emotions got the better of me and I have made a fool of myself. Oh well.
