Pakistani khakis stand exposed for what they are - and have forever been.

A bunch of uniformed power grabbers who do not care a fig for the wishes of their own people - and will do anything to stay in power!

They will leave no stones unturned,

they will make rivers of blood flow,

they will jump into beds with the greenest of the Jihadis,

they will lie and lie through their teeth,

they will sell their own mothers,

they long ago sold their souls...

...just to prolong that hold on power!

Then they will stand in front of the country and shout....

...Pakistan paindabad!

And with a straight face, too!

Over 200 journalists booked for rally

Our staff reporter
ISLAMABAD - Federal Capital Police on Tuesday registered a case against more than 200 journalists for violating section 144 and staging a protest rally against the restrictions on media on Monday in front of Prime Minster Secretariat. An FIR has been registered in Secretariat Police Station.
However, the Station House Officer (SHO) himself made a party and registered an FIR against the journalists according to section 188.
Prominently Fauzia Shahid, Mazhar Abbas, C R Shamsi, Afzal Butt, Mushtaq Minhas, Tariq Usmani, Talat Hussain and political leaders Ahsan Iqbal, J Salik and Jehangir Akhtar have been accused for violating the section 188 the civil order in an FIR.
The FIR 92 registered at Secretariat Police Station states that on June 4 several individuals took out a torch bearing rally in violation of section 144 imposed in the federal capital, protested against the government, broke all barriers to reach the Prime Minister’s Secretariat and made speeches against the government which come under civil disobedience.
The police termed this FIR ‘Blind FIR’ and when inquired that what does it mean by? The police official told “It means that anyone can be arrested anytime”.
It is pertinent to mention here that no arrests have been made so far in connection with the FIR against the media persons.
Just few days earlier the carvan of the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry left for Abbottabad and the section 144 was also imposed then however, the police and the administration could not dare even to speak a single word against them though they rose anti-government slogans.
STAFF REPORTER from Lahore adds: In anticipation of strong public reaction against the PEMRA Ordinance on the occasion of Thursday’s planned protest by lawyers and the Opposition parties, the Punjab police has arrested hundreds of political activists from across the Punjab in a massive crackdown, which started late Monday night.
Though police have denied the arrests, the political parties have claimed that hundreds of their activists have been apprehended from various Punjab cities, including the provincial metropolis.
According to media spokespersons of various Opposition parties, the police raided the houses and offices of their political activists in different cities to apprehend them ahead of Thursday’s joint protest by lawyers and the Opposition parties.
While many were arrested, some managed to escape, who were still hiding at undisclosed locations, they claimed.
During these raids, which were continuing till filing of this report, police reportedly misbehaved with women, children and other family members of the political activists.
In some cases, the police even arrested the relatives of the activists, who slipped away in anticipation of the raids.
In Lahore, police raided PPP’s Lahore office in Baghbanpura, party office of Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly, Mian Qasim Zia and Naveed Chaudhry, but leaders managed to slip away from the scene. The raids were also carried out at the residences of PPP’s Punjab Finance Secretary, Aurangzeb Burki, Dr. Ziaullah Bangash, Zikria Butt and Iqbal Sialvi.
PPP’s Lahore Secretary Information, Zikria Butt said that dozens of party activists including Allah Nawaz Sial, Mian Abdul Khaliq, Zia Nagra, Ch Yaqoob Kamana, Javed Iqbal, Anwarul Haq, Muhammad Arshad Nadeem Shah, Liaquat Ansari, Mushtaq Shah, K.D Rana, Shaukat Ali Qureshi, Asif Rehmani, Mushtaq Shah, Ejaz Mirza, Muhammad Jamil and Basharat Siddiqui, have been arrested from Lahore alone.
The PML (N) MNA, Khawaja Saad Rafique also came up with a similar claim when The Nation contacted him to know the factual position regarding the number of arrests of party workers from Lahore. A late night Press release issued by media office of the PML (N) said that dozens of party activists including Jawad Akhtar Butt, Dilbar Shah, Arshad Sindu, Shuja Butt, Asim Mustafa, Haji Iqbal, Nadeem Akhtar, Billa Taironwala, Jamshed Butt, Zaheer Bajwa, Sadaqat Khan, Azmat Panda, Nishan Ali and Mubashir Zulfiqar, have been arrested and detained at City police stations.
Police raided and ransacked the meeting place (dera) of PML (N)’s Punjab Vice President and member Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhamamd Afzal Khokar, and arrested Malik Amjad and Shahid Ali from there, the release further claimed.
The police also launched crackdown against MMA activists at the time of Fajr prayers. Police forced their entry into the residences of Town Nazim of Jamat-i-Islami, Haji Abdul Jalil and UC Nazim Ziauddin Ansari and arrested them.
Dozens of other MMA activists were also arrested from several localities.
Meanwhile, MMA leader Qazi Hussain Ahmad, PPP leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi and PML (N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique have condemned police raids and arrests of their political activists.
In their separate Press statements, they have termed these arrests totally unjustified and uncalled for. The govt , they said, has got unnerved seeing its imminent collapse as a result of the successful mass movement of the Opposition parties.

Govt to target print media next

ISLAMABAD: The government is planning to introduce another law to restrict publication of “objectionable” cartoons and editorial comments in national and regional newspapers, Daily Times learnt on Tuesday. Sources said that the National Security Council (NSC), which met here with President General Pervez Musharraf on Monday, had decided to promulgate an ordinance to restrict publication of objectionable cartoons or articles in newspapers and magazines that may defame the armed forces or other state institutions. This follows the government introducing amendments in the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Ordinance 2002 on Monday, placing restrictions on electronic media. The NSC has directed the Law and Justice Ministry to draft the ordinance restricting print media, sources said. Inter-Provincial Coordination Minister Salim Saifullah Khan presented the idea of holding phased elections in the country, which was rejected for fear of angering opposition political parties. Sources said the NSC said the general elections would be held on time, while the president vowed not to support any political party or individual found responsible for the violence in Karachi. naveed siddiqui

Excerpt from the BBC`s profile of Musharaff:

The Delhi-born son of an Urdu-speaking family that migrated to Pakistan after the partition of the Indian sub-continent in 1947 has survived numerous assassination attempts and plots - the latest in December 2003.

But he is facing an increasing number of challenges on the domestic front - especially rising prices of fuel and food - as well as continuing extremism.

Sectarian violence between Sunni and Shia Muslims also simmers on.

General Musharraf will also be only too aware of Pakistan`s old complaint of being picked up and then rapidly forgotten by the US once its strategic interests shift.

Pakistan today sits in the shadow of an increasingly blossoming relationship between the US and India, its battle against militancy continues unabated and it was recently labelled in an American study as a ``failed state``.

President Musharraf may reflect that while he may have made progress in economic growth, the country`s many problems show no signs of disappearing.

The only saviour for Pure Land...........

A Delhiwallah........

Re: # 12
It is unbelivable when people start looking for ``ONE`` person to save nation. May be you can not save such people as they are always waiting to be saved.Specially a failure politician appealing to most animal intinct of race against Urdu speaking leader in London.
In jungle dominant animal protect their field by their own leadership while its strange ``Big Khan`` wants to start legal action in london. Why he does not start leagal action in back home? What and Why UK govt will do or can do. Altaf is political leader and guiding his party what is problem in that. Now there is nothing wrong to be in exile it is tradition of many world leaders. BB and NS are both in london and directing their party , there is nothing wrong then why people single out MQM. Answer is complex and simple as ``Fair`` skinned feudal leaders can not tolerate the leader who is dark skined and who is not slave and who has great sexual character. Please note MQM HQ has directed followers not to ``raise`` morality questions, morality does not count when you are ``big Leader``. The leaders teach by action and not by words. BB and NS are moral persons in this matter. But I think in politics personal behaviour is not important and MQM should understand and accept personal morality and political morality are not to be same. Unfortunately Altafbhai does not differentiate between personal and political morality.
This law was necessary as many respected newspeople have lost professional ethics, they are taking part in politics. Recently in news report story Ms. Sarwar openly sided against Urdu Leadership. Newspeople are supposed to report story not give opinion specially political. Also when little naughty boys make trouble the father has to apply pressure and decipline to maintan house peace. Newspeople are getting wild and only interested in ``Sensentional things``, no report on progress under last 9 years when USA was about to declare failed state. Now every big man with money wants to put money in Karachi Stock market, hottest after china and leaving india poor last destination for foreign money.
Newspapers men and women want freedom and General gave them but with that comes ``RESPONSIBILITY`` but they do not want that. They do not acre and go on challenging and demeaning army which led to outburst by one prominent politician saying these people should be lined by arabian see and shot and fed to Sharks in sea. They are provokating situation where strict army take our may be needed. These trouble makers feel situation is bad but later they they are going to find they are going to hell road if General is Disposed by some trouble makers. Stop politics and report truthfully.
Good day everybody. Liberals are going to destroy good country by playing politics. How it will be better if politics banned for next 2 and everybody works 80hours per week and concentrate only on money making, country can be eading light of developing nations. Such sad miserable article. Good day.

#13 by ahmedmadani :

``no report on progress under last 9 years when USA was about to declare failed state. ``

Mr Ahmed, have you been skipping your medicines again! Read this from the BBC news;

Pakistan `is a top failed state`

Pakistan`s `plunge`

Pakistan moved from 34th last year to ninth in the new report - one of the sharpest changes in the overall score of any country on the list.

The contributing factors were Pakistan`s inability to police the tribal areas near the Afghan border, the devastating earthquake in Kashmir and rising ethnic tensions, the report said.

Afghanistan, ranked 10th, faces different problems from Iraq, which despite the presence of US-led troops came fourth, the report said.

Educated exiled Afghans had been slow to go home following the ousting of the Taleban in 2001, but poor refugees had returned from Pakistan and Iran in large numbers, the study said.

``The result is a capital city busting at the seams but short of trained administrators.``

The authors cite India as an example of a state which has pulled back from the brink, saying that in the 1970s analysts predicted dire consequences as a result of population growth, economic mismanagement, poverty and corruption.

Now, they say, India today has turned itself around and might have the edge over China (ranked 57) in the long run.

Pauline Baker, president of the Fund for Peace, told the Associated Press news agency that India had greater social mobility and was more decentralised than its more populous neighbour.

So, now the country has gone to the dogs by indulging in ethnically biased politics. Salim mian,

Had the Chief Justice stood for supremacy of the court by sticking to his principles and pushing the agenda through the judicial system rather than the street, then I too wud have supported him. Sadly, that was not to be and this meglomaniac is strutting around the country as the last messiah inflicting serious damage to the judicial process that he was supposed to protect. The biggest loser in this entire episode is the common man of this godforsaken country, and they have the stupid CJ to thank who has through his actions cast his vote of no confidence for the judicial process.

tahmed32

If, we go by the standards normal posters observe on chowk....then 98% of chowkies are guilty of the charges............and before I always excluded you from that 98% of chowkies population....but, from now on based on your double standards, hypocrisy, supportive behaviour for cyber harrassers, belittling hard working tanga waalas profession and supporting corrupt parlimantarians(butchers) of poor pakistanis......I will include you among those 98% cyber harrassers.......

Now, the choice is your`s......either to continue with all these above mentioned negative characteristics, or, come up with truthfullness....................carry on with your own hypocrisy....

PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH......charity begins @ home....
Before discussing democracy, first learn the ABC of democracy....for the people and by the people( people are not only parlimantarians, people are thos etanga waalas/waalis).........shame on you for belittling tanga waalia profession.

Not based on what someone else accuses us of having written. So, unless you can show me something specific I have written that qualifies me to join the ranks of the lowlife on chowk, I respectfully wish you a good day.

The elite among them try to ``borrow`` status and mannerisms and racism from their foreign masters, which is nothing to be proud of or emulated, as you are trying to copy by exchanging slogans with this vile piece of s***, tahmed. Ethnicity is not what is forcing him to act in the way he does, his religion, worship of the white Anglo Saxons is what prompts him to act in the way that he does. He is a slave of the American elite, and you are letting him lead you down the ugly path of racism, something that was perfected by his masters. He is merely singing the American tune when he supports the CJ, when the Americans were comfy with Mush he supported Mush, now they want to discipline Musharraf and he will of course default to their official BS. Let us see how all this plays out, like a drowning man riding a sinking ship Musharraf is trying to plug the holes trying to stay in power. He plugs one and 15 others open up, just because neither he nor those loyal to him in the Army can ever compete with the American dominance in that institution. Either he will do proper sajda to the Americans or hasta la vista to him... For you, give up this BS about ``punju`` and ``mattarwa`` and other BS

Thank God, I am not one of those corrupt parlimantarians who are good for nothing corrupt blood suckers.......those blood suckers have sucked up Pakistani poor people`s blood and discussing democracy....

Their kind of democracy is not democracy, their kind of democracy is HYPOCRISY.....and dictatorship......

And those corrupt Parlimantarians are the root cause of all the chaos in Pakistan.......

My dear little sis, how you misunderstand my well-intentioned words of protection – my warning to those who would do you harm – and how you instead take me apart – that too in my absence while I attended my humble janitorial duties!

I spoke those oh-so-misunderstood words of warning to your attackers completely without malice to you. Rest assured little sis – I am motivated solely by a desire to protect the honor and dignity of my little sis – a task that I must but undertake – duty-bound!

It is my duty …

How can I not protect her when she went out on the limb trying to protect me against the forces of darkness!!

Against the countless creeps as well as their promoters, the jallads who calls themselves chowk-staff, not to mention the worst culprit of them all – the cowardly exhorter from afar – the very queen of darkness – the bloom of gloom!

Have you forgotten so quickly, little sis – and have you instead turned tail and joined the contingent of the dark side!

The dark side that would like to examine mian Mushy UNDER his uniform – strictly for the effects of titillation!? The dark side that cares not a fig for the forces of democracy!

Desist, my little sis! Fight the urge.

The forces of evil are strong – you need to be stronger!

Be the little lioness that you were always meant to be!

Masadi Sahib,
You make a lot of sense here. Unfortunately, liberal ``elitists`` like Chacha Char Sau Bees put on the mantle of Punjabi ethnicity to further the cause of ethnic hegemony - when all they really want to do is to fatten their own wallets and please their gora masters. Little does the poor, hard-working Punjabi peasant realize that in his/her name, people who are usually ashamed to speaking Punjutalk as they try to impress others with their dexterity at Urdu, thump their own ``sher da puttar`` chests to proclaim Punjabi superiority. Sir, if you observe the behavior of Chacha Char Sau Bees, Khamkhwa, Zeemax, Ali1, Atif2, Ally, and Ass Lame, you will find out how they destroy the interests of Islam, Pakistan, and even Punjab while they lay their plans to loot the very nation they pretend to be patriotic for. Shame.

I don`t need to be a tonga wali/wala to be qualified for hard and honest work....I am already doing my hard work and honest living via my own respectable profession. But, I do respect all professions equally whether it is a janitor, tanaga wala/wali, house maid, tailor or a sales person.......

But, you with all your hypocritic democracy won`t be able to understand the difference when you yourself sopunds like a big fascist on this anon web site.....

You with your own self righteousness and in your own illusion bashing me when already some loser is cyber harrassing me shows your mind set.....Very typical Pakistani mind set and talking about democracy....LOL

You are telling me not to come to chowk.....so, that`s your democracy...
You are telling me not waste my time among loafers of chowk.....instead of advising them to behave, your democracy is exactly like your selective morality.....

So, in other words, your selective dishonest democracy (very typical of Pakistani mindset) tells all Pakistani ladies not to raise their voices against abusers and cyber harrassers,b/c if they do, they will be considered tanga walas/waliis.........LOL

Here you are comitting few crimes....
#1:- Contradicting your own self by supporting Pakistani cyber harrassers.....and instead bashing me for speaking up.....So, this kind of selective democracy you believe in.......Bravo!

#2:-On one hand you are discussing democracy...and on the other hand...choking my voice for raising it against these women abusers.......Wonderful!

#3:-On one hand you are using big words for democracy and against MQM/Mushy and on the other hand....you are belittling this respectable profession......tonga wala/tonga wali...as if they are not humans, as if they have nothing to do with democracy...as if they are not people b/c they are low life......Excellent!!!

#4:- On one hand you are discussing democracy and trying to stand up against MQM/Mushy and his parlimantarians(corrupt ones in Islam abad, Lotas) and on the other hand, you are advising me to act like a parlimantarian not like a tonga wali.....That`s pearl of wisdom!!!

Tell me where do you stand?

Salim mian on the other hand has proven himself a real gentleman on this board......Although, we both are from opposite camps, but, seeing Salim`s refined behavior on this board is compelling me to change my mind in favor of MQM instead,b/c that`s what is called real democracy....

Salim Mian
I am so very proud of you.....We both are standing up for absolutely different causes, but, we both did not disrespect each other, rather we acknowledged eachother`s POVs......

Now, this is the kind of democracy that we need...

I totally agree with your views. And exactly, that`s what I have had been pointing out..........You got to remember Pakistan is not a strong country like India and you know the reasons...We are trying fight with those dictator and fascist forces(Army) is the biggest example of dictatorship..........and everytime army comes, there are 80% of Lota Politicians who start supporting army just for their own power.......Pakistani nation is now absolutely a chaotic nation...nothing is right at this moment....

Bezamir, Nawaz(haqeer and faqeer) all are responsible of this chaos.....they failed...

We do need a good person to gather pakistani nation under one platform to go forward for democracy....Imran Khan is not our messiah, but, a good leader with his vision and his sensitivity for poor Pakistanis.....

Bazamir, Benamaz faqeer and haqeer are retarded idiots with no brain cells for being leaders.......

And Leaders are actually servants for masses to get them together ...for the people and by the people...Simple.

I already acknowledged that, and tried to explain to you why it was ``different standards`` not ``double standards``. Thus, I would expect posts written by, e.g, dost mittar to be more intelligent, civilized and open-minded than those written, e.g. by masadi. I had meant that as a compliment, not something to take offense at. However, I can see how it could be seen as lecturing to the aggrieved party, which is how you have taken it to mean. Some here have mused that India is a `stronger` country than Pakistan. When we seek the `strength` of countries, we as weak individuals dig our own graves. Countries, rather the state, should be weak. The `power` should belong to individuals.

I recall a seminar by the economist Ackerlof (spelling). After the seminar we as young graduate students hung around our hero in the `beer` session. The discussion meandered towards the `govt.` and I complained that the US govt. was full of stupid people. He turned towards me and, with a wicked smile on his face, said ``Imagine what would have happened if they were to be smart.`` ..... A lesson I learnt, which I woudn`t in 100s of graduate courses.

Cheers.

Dr Ayesha Siddiqa leaves Pakistan

By Rauf Klasra

LONDON: Renowned scholar Dr Ayesha Siddiqa secretly reached London on Wednesday after she “received a message that a charge sheet is being prepared to put her on trial” for writing a book against the Pakistani military establishment.

Dr Ayesha, whose recently launched book, “Military Inc”, created a stir in Pakistan, was scheduled to reach London on June 13. However, she abruptly got out of the country after the messengers told her that she might be put on trial soon.

Before leaving Pakistan, Dr Ayesha also received a legal notice from a retired general, demanding Rs 1 billion as damages for exposing his alleged acts of omission and commission in her book.

She was informed by some of her close family friends that her life was in a danger and she should be very careful. “I left Pakistan quietly as certain messengers were sent to my house to inform me about government’s intentions to prepare a charge-sheet,” Dr Siddiqa told The New here.

She said she believed that the messengers, who were personally known to her, were sent because the authorities concerned were annoyed at her work on the political and economic might and role of the military establishment.

Dr Ayesha said she had planned to visit London in the second week of June to attend her book’s launching ceremony here on June 13. But, after receiving these messages she decided to leave for London quite early, she said, adding that after receiving these messages, her husband was frightened about her safety in Pakistan.

As a fan of Dr. Siddiqa`s writings, this bothers me immensely.

I wish her and her sympathizers my sincere best. Not everyone has the option or opportunity or means to leave.

I pray that perhaps someday she can return to a land where people shall indeed breathe freedom - as is inevitable.

There is no polite way to put it. The khakis have truly gone nuts! Just like a candle which burns rather bright - just before it goes out!

My dear, you miss the point!

She could have stayed back and either paid millions of rupees in arbitrarily imposed fines or gone to jail or worse - she could have cowed down and played along with the khaki`s deluded dance on its last legs!

What many Indians - including you - do not realize is that people like Dr. Siddiqa are the true pillars of a future Pakistan - and also these are the folks who will provide the foundations of a lasting friendship because they have the necessary education and broadness of outlook for the same. People like her do not leave their motherland in search of greener pasteurs like many of us do - they do so when there is no choice and when they can be more effective from outside.

We, the Indians, do such individuals no favors when we ridicule what is a land that they truly love - as they demonstrate. We need to encourage such individuals. They are even more indispensable from the Indian point of view than from the rest of the world.

Comparing a whole population to ``rattlesnakes`` is one of the most foolish things you have ever said (the reality is that most people are simply people and those living closest to the ``rattlesnakes`` are the most in danger and probably most scared, too). arjun #82 I am not interested in changing your mind on anything since, as I said, your insults and putdowns of Pakistanis say nothing about Pakistanis, and speak volumes of your mental condition.

But just clarify what I think bjkumar meant: it doesnt matter who comes to power in Pakistan. Personalities are not the issue, so it is not important who comes to power. What is important is that the checks and balances to those in power are introduced in Pakistan. That is what the chief justice and the lawyers understand.

Whether or not this effort succeeds is not the issue. By any reasonable measure, even if the struggle fails this time, it will have sown the seed for the next time around. So, like I said - bad news for you. Pakistan will emerge stronger than ever.

I mean, we have laloos, mulayams, advanis, commies and host of other fools running around wrecking havoc... and even look at the demagogues running around in US these days...

Nawaz has failed alright... but then you pakis have failed too... when he was deposed, you danced in the streets... you didn`t realize that it`s not Nawaz that is being thrown out, it`s your right to make the decision that`s being thrown out... Bad as nawaz was, deposing him is a decision that only people should make, not the army...

Arjun,

I have my own differences with Tahmed and his ilk here but I think u are going too low, kinda below belt on other board where u compared Muhammed with a pig i.e incarnation of Lord Vishnu? Dont think too reverential abt cow. On the scale of reverence pig shud be above cow becoz pig is one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu. U love to eat spare-ribs but not the rump-steak?

I know u hate terrorism and its breeding ground (Pakistan) but I guess u dont hate their traditional Indian/subcontinental Islam which is not of extremist-type.

Like India they too had poorer ppl who dont know who`s the `king` in Islamabad. They dont understand the concept of a capital city, nor abt government. If u ask them who`s the president of Pakistan, they`d not know what that means. Most of the ppl who makeup for both India and Pakistan are the poor, poorer and the poorest.

BJ dude

Why are you so riled up?... what`s up with this holier-than-thou BS?...

I am sure pakis are ``good`` people individually, but collectively they have proved to be otherwise.... I mean, the country is a veritable terrorist breeding ground... that doesn`t happen in a vacuum, it needs wide support and sustainance... it needs a certain mindset and malice...

We all want pakiland to be ruled by the ``good Dr`` instead of the army... but what`s the chance of that happening? we all want india to be ruled by Narayan Murthy, but that won`t happen... so why are you being a drama queen on hypothetical propostions?...

Re: # 86
[...Most of the ppl who makeup for both India and Pakistan are the poor, poorer and the poorest...]

True... but then, what do you do when the poor abdul[sometimes, not so poor] gets trained in his madrassa and gets over here and blasts the sh!t out of you, literally...

See - it`s not a very easy moral situation here... if abdul is just poor, we have all symathies for him... but when he is violent and maniac fed with heady brew of islam and nonsense - it`s impossible to be symathetic to him, no matter what his economic situation is...

You can make a case that not all abduls are violent and you are right... but does that really make a difference to the victims of the wanton islamofascism-inspired violence?...

You tell me...

I enjoy any meat...especially over the grill...

and isn`t it funny how pakis weren`t talking about poverty and the condition of the common man when they thought their islamic jihadi adventures were about to land them kashmir...hardly a dissenting voice against the use of islamic fundamentalism as a policy tool then...then, one day in sept 2001, things changed and pakis were falling all over themselves to distance themselves from the indigenous freedom fighters..it`s funny what mandatory registration , fingerprinting and deportation will do...

as far as I`m concerned, there are two types of pakis...those who openly say they support islamic terrorism and then there`s the other kind...liars..

Mohar,

I know what u mean but most of the ppl are like us in India. I dont think all poor abduls are into these madrasas. As I see, most of the JH an JF are from rich bakgrounds. The poorer ones u say are from NWFP.

I think we need to know Pakistan fully. Pl keep watching Pak TV and interact with Pak ppl. Prolly that wud smoothen ur rough edges. Btw, I had mmmany Pak friends some are jigri friends.

Not all Pakis are Zeemaxes and Abu Safwans. There MinazJs, TE Shahs and lots of unnamed ppl on Chowk itself who rile their own country for its propensity for religous extremism.

[...most of the ppl are like us in India. ...]

Not really... that`s the fallacy that indians too often fall for... Like I said - making your country a terrorist pit takes certain mindsets... that`s very unique...

Folio:

Most of the Pakis are absolutely different from Indians in that their mindset is only on religion and more religion........and exporting violent versions of it round the globe......

Look at this board for instance....there are radical pakis who want everyone to get Islamized, Punj Pakis slugging it out with Mohajirs, Sindhi Muslims eyeing both suspiciously, Balochi & pathans wistfully looking at the neibouring countries.....

India & pakistan.....chalk & cheese man!

Channai,

I agree 2 what u said. What we look at is not what we see.

They too want good life i.e economic betterment. Look at their immigration figures and look at their (Pakistanis) deportation figures. They are so desparate to leave Pakistan. So were many in India. Lookat the Gujju effers. The rate to take u abroad was 8 lakhs in 2002. Look at our MPs who`re escorting ppl to Canada. The rate is 30 lakhs!

Plz dont force me talk like Tahmed abt Pakistan. I share ur concerns visavis India but aam ppl are different. They are the product of their society which is hightly feudal and of late highly communal. They want to be part of larger Muslim/Arab world but they wud remian in the wings 4ever coz arabs never give passports to non-arabs, even to cock-sucking Pakistanis like Zeemax.

I know what u mean but most of the ppl are like us in India.

No they`re not...most of them support the use of islamic terrorism or what they call jihad...

If there are any pakis who genuinely don`t support terrorism, they`re like the unfortunate residents of dresden who didn`t really support nazism...

stop deluding yourself...you think pakis care about your average indian? heck no...paki rats like tahmed may fake concern for all humankind but when passenger trains are bombed in india, abdul paki thinks they deserved it because of kashmir...and this isn`t anecdotal..most pakis openly say it...the letters to the editors of their newspapers say the same thing..

get your head out of the sand...

tell me something folio

If the pakis are ``just like us``, why doesn`t a week go by news of some paki somewhere getting busted for terrorism...

India has 7 times as many people as pakiland and almost as many muslims...why were pakis required to register first after 9/11 and not Indians?

How come there are no Indians in gitmo but a bunch of pakis?

Re:#95 by Folio:

Folio, if they want economic betterment they need to do one hell of a lot of things before even dreaming of getting there.....

They could start with maybe acknowledging that they have zilch arab genes :))

Seriously, I know what you mean but I``m afraid it looks like a lost cause......

My take is , better the military than the mullah..........

Arjun,

I dont agree with you.

Not ALL Pakistanis support terrorism. Pl read their newspapers. Unless the reporters are Hindus or Christians, the news reported must be wrong, if
