Well in States GOVERNMENT policies never change, does not matter its OBAMA OR HILLARY,Americans policy makers think about the interests of the country, right now USA is being challenged by ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS in IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN,so OBAMA can make as many slogans as he wants but final policy will be whatever best for USA,Your article reminds me Of YASIR ARAFAT,there was an agreement at the end of BILL CLINTON Govt between ISRAEL AND PALESTINES,but YASIR ARAFAT was reluctant to sign because he thought new Gove in Washington will give him better deal,we all saw what happened to him after Clinton left office.

Obama has not been a much popular figure in Pakistan ever since he expressed his desire to bomb Pakistan

ana,
i dont mind being called paki or turbanhead etc. names don't hurt. i'm not racist but sometimes kailay act a little bit uppity when they get into positions of power -- i mean you'd think a person like obama would not make silly comments about invading pakistan wouldn't you given that his ancestors were oppressed by the same white men who are oppressing others now?

"Hillary Clinton a Better Presidential Candidate" -- of course better than George Bush and of those republicans clowns -- but not better that Obama. Unfortunately she will be the Democrat's choice in November elections -- and I wll be forced to vote for her -- because vote I must since one cannot sit out THIS election -- but the War is not going to end -- she says she would end but she won't.

"Dude you are too astute for chowk. You should be writing for wonkette."
I didn't know what wonkette was.
Google:
"Wonkette is a blog.
Ana Marie Cox, a former editor at "SUCK.COM", was the founding editor. Under her tenure, Wonkette was known for its sharp, sarcastic, intelligent voice, and for its mixture of heady political discourse with repeated references to "GIN" and "ANAL SEX"."
Ahhh. I see. How is it you know about wonkette?
Wait... Don't answer. I can guess!

Asif, I guess it would not bother you in the least bit if someone was to call you Paki or turbanhead, or any other slurs that white folk have created for us desis if you feel entirely comfortable continuing to use ethnic slurs that white folk have created for Black people.

I just heard Mitt Romney interviewed by Chris Wallace on faux news..
Romney said he'd pretty much do the same thing Obama said he would do except that he wouldn't go about announcing his intentions in the open...
Pakis: sending US forces for whacking jihadis in pakiland has bipartisan support...congrats...you'all are uniters...

Re: # 3
"3) In the end each and every President has only one country's interests as paramount and that is the United States."
That's right. But I think that would come last in a list of their priorities.
The first and foremost goal of ANY candidate is to BECOME THE PRESIDENT. No matter what your personal beliefs are, you have to lie and say those things which you hope will be popular with the voters, to get you in.
Once you are president, the next most important goal is to try to use the office to become richer and help your family & friends and other crooks in the government to become richer, without being caught doing anything illegal.
The next goal is to do whatever you would like to do, by first feeling the pulse of the nation. If it's a popular decision... you do it. If it's not popular you try to use the media to manipulate their opinion... then do it.
If that doesn't work... you do a U-turn and fire a member of your staff... saying it was his idea and that you were against this idea in the first place!
etc, etc, etc.
Moral of the story?
You cannot form a true opinion on ANYONE, based on WHAT THEY SAY.
It's the actions once they are in that count. And by that time it's too late.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama found himself embroiled in a new foreign policy flap with rival Hillary Clinton on Thursday, this time over the use of nuclear weapons.
Obama ruled out the use of nuclear weapons to go after al Qaeda or Taliban targets in Afghanistan or Pakistan, prompting Clinton to say presidents never take the nuclear option off the table, and extending their feud over whether Obama has enough experience to be elected president in November 2008.
