This is a completely one sided article, the moghul empire consisted of the now pakistan, and there is no mention of pakistani achievements in this article.

There is talk about indian engineering graduates, as though the jihadis streaming out of the 13,000 madrassas do not count.

In terms of the global threat, and even in terms of the yearly military spending in terms of weapons and ammunition, the contribution of the pakistani outputs are significant.

It is articles like this that contribute to indo-pak enmity by ignoring the contributions of pakistan.

Once again in the traditions of the mughals, pak army is moving into the border area of waziristan to re-establish teh control right to teh frontiers of the erstwhile empire.

long live pakistan

since lahore didn't have census in those days it's one man's guess that lahore's population was two million, we shall never know for sure.

the other point is this since India produces five times more engineers than US and Europe one never hears about any inventions from there, is there something missing?.

You should have read something about the number of patents filed from the Indian offices of GE and Texas Instruments. They far outnumber the ones filed from any other offices (including in the US) of these companies. That said, Engineering graduates in India usually prefer working immediately after they graduate and not pursue research, which is when they can actually go on and invent something.

I shall add to what Harish said abt Indians.

There are 3.22 millions of Indians in USA (1.5% of population). YET,

38% of doctors in USA are Indians.
12% scientists in USA are Indians.
36% of NASA scientists are Indians.
34% of Microsoft employees are Indians.
28% of IBM employees are Indians.
17% of INTEL scientists are Indians.
13% of XEROX employees are! Indians.

Re: # 4

folio,

....... you might want to recheck your numbers since the toatal percentage of foreign medical graduates in USA in 2006 was 25.3% ...... out of this 25.3%, 19.3% were indians and 4.8% pakistanis ...... so if you do the math, about 5% of the total are sideways head-wagging indians - which is enough to make anyone dizzy !

..... i am not denying the considerable gains india has made in education, but sometimes you guys get carried away with your own bullshit ........

Cut us some slack Hamidm Sahib. As you guys never tire of pointing out, India's problems are much bigger than Pakistan's. And despite that if we've done much better than you, can't you let us bask in the glory of such accomplishments?

PS: if Indians wag their heads, why would that make you dizzy? Shouldn't they be the ones who go dizzy?

Re Folio #4

The numbers you have posted are pure bullshit.

As someone who spent a couple of years at NASA and with lots of friends in the medical profession in the US, I can positively assure you that none of these numbers is true.

While MicroSoft does provide an Indian entree at its cafeterias during lunch, the Indian contingent there doesn't come anywhere near 34% of the employee population.

Yes, I know that the Indian Foreign Ministry's website carries this set of bogus statistics but that doesn't make it true. Surely, it was posted there by some UPwallah or Bihari.

Idolators would always thank the Britishers because they liberated them from the hands of moghul dhimiitude.

The cruelities you mention were already part of the dhimmi's culture of servitude.

Dhimmi women were always available- ask any full bloodied momeen moghul - he would pick and choose any dhimmi women and keep her as a sex slave when ever he wanted to.

A full bloodied momeen would kill any dhimmi any time for showing perceived disrespect.

Come one , get out of self deprecating attitude- because you helped up liberate and made us equal to the momeens. - An act for which every Pakistani is angry with you.

You helped us understand the true meaning of scientific thinking through doubt- The only evil ones with you were the christian evangelists and their agents who wanted to harvest our souls.

Thanks to white liberal civilization our status IMPROVED - although we may have suffered economically- but your intervention saved us from eternal Islamic hell.

Chennai,

hamid had issues with his native Pakistan and the state policy of Pakistani de-recognising Amhadis as Muslims. So hamid mutates btw pro2anti-India in his posts. I am sure he;d amny head-waggers as frens (HWs are south Indians).

He's a shady character with occasional shots of brilliance. He's a fun chap.

As for head wagging, it cud be the yes-nature of south Indians who remained as model slaves to British.

Re: # 6

hairsh mian,

...... there is no question that pakistan stinks, but from what i hear india is no perfumery either ....

..... besides, you can arrive at all kinds of silly conclusions based on statistics ...... for example : with 5 times the population, indian physicians in the usa are only 4 times the number of pakistani physicians ...... so what does this mean: a) pakistani doctors are smarter than indian doctors b) indian doctors have better opportunities back home or c) indians like the stench of raw sewage and cows wandering in the streets (i subscribe to this theory)......... take your pick ................ another case: with one fifth the population pakistan has 50 million cellular phone subscribers while india has only a 100 million ..... so. what does this mean? .. a)pakistan is a telecom powerhouse b)indians are too cheap to buy a cell phone c) pakis like to talk d)pakis are stupid show-offs and will spend good money on useless gadgets (which i believe to be true) .......

...... there is no question that pakistan stinks,

It's not the stink, it's the islamic terrorism coming out of the land of the pure and it's denizens that's a global problem...Do you think you were probed by the TSA agents because pakiland doesn't have a democracy or because ahmedis were declared non-muslims or 4 male witnesses are required to prove a rape?

It's the islamic terrorism, stupid..

for example : with 5 times the population

Nice try...but the population of indians in the US is at the most 3 times the population of purelanders..

Ever looked at the ethnicities of the high school quiz show? or the intel list? very few pakis there, if any...

with one fifth the population pakistan has 50 million cellular phone subscribers while india has only a 100 million ..... so. what does this mean? .. a)pakistan is a telecom powerhouse

Using a telephone(imported) and a cellular switching network(imported) doesn't make you a telecom superpower anymore than pakis being the leading downloaders of porn makes them masters in internet networking technologies...

india actually has r&d labs for most of the manufacturers whose imports you use...
