You are saying that although Pakistani constitution gives Pakistani Hindus a right to build new temples, no new temples have been built in x (not stated) number of years. You think that is because the constitution ties itself too closely to the Quran, and because nobody takes Pakistani constitution seriously in Pakistan.

All these charges need some backing up. Otherwise you are screaming at someone who is already a liberal Islamist (if that is possible :)).

chalta, laddu, are we being unfair to cliffs here? Constitutional freedom is actually very important. Do we have any reliable evidence that no new temples are allowed to build even if some Hindus wanted them to?

I am not a liberal to not ask some real tough questions. Are Hindus even trying to build temples? But first and foremost, if there is constitutional freedom, that is signficant.

chaltahai, dunno the details on that one. But in general, any Islamic society needs only a few followers of authentic Islam. Not different from any other system, of a small core and large body full of relative, but attractive, fluff. The stronger the system, the more every part feels it is in the center, and of central importance. The only way to tell is to see who has the power to change the rules of the game, by rhetoric if possible, by force if necessary.
