I have asked all these taqiyya-baajs - how many new hindoo temples POST PARTITION were built in modern PAkistan???
#243 Posted by cliftonbridge on September 18, 2007 8:41:42 am
cobra you have a good point. We dont have that many hindus and the ones who do still live in pakistan do not exercise the same freedom as some indian muslims do...at the same time we dont beat them up either or tear pregnant women's bellies open ala gujrat...its all a numbers game.
Laddu i am embarrassed that i ever tried to give you a reasonable answer to your questions. This stupid question youve asked for the 50th time has been answered many many times ....are you incurable stupid or manic depressive??

Poor yasser, we have hijacked this board. Sorry, man. We can let viqarm celebrate the good fortune of Pakistani Hindus and cry over the misery of Indian Muslims. So long as we don't care one bit for equality and justice and such nonsense, we lose nothing.
-----------
agree with cliffs there. It's all numbers, numbers, numbers. Mastering the art of complaining and blaming is sone pe suhaga. Hindus can either see that, or choose not to. :)

Ardeshir Cowasjee does it (express his opinion) all the time. You can read his weekly column in the English daily "Dawn".
As for President and PM's post, Pakistan is not a secular democracy; nor is it likely to be any time soon. President and PM have to be muslims.
For argument's sake, if Pak becomes secular in name, like India claims to be while being rabidly Hindu, would we then have the license to treat Pakistani Hindus the same way as muslims and dalits are treated in India?

Clifton, can that be because you have so few Hindus? We have seen what all of us are capable of during partition.
Besides, it's my opinion that Hindus don't get provoked easily and get railed up to the call of ‘Hindutva khatre me hai’ and start a fight.

If equality and justice is what the muslims are getting in India, then I have no regret having been brought up in Pakistan.

Viq, There is distinction in treatments to Parsis and Christians in both countries (Jews in case of India) and Hindus and Muslims. We know this.
I was reading an article in dawn one time where the author who happened to be Muslim wrote about how Hindus are perceived in Pakistan, Pakistani media, Movie where Hindus are typically depicted as villains.
I am not getting into pissing contest of who treats minority better. We have our faults. Just don't think that everything is hunky dory in your country.

BJP types don't need ‘Hindutva khatre me hai’ in order to start a fight. Wake up!

viqarm, let's give this board back to yasser, accepting whatever it takes you to make you not regret having been brought up in Pakistan. Deal?
#251 Posted by Cobra on September 18, 2007 9:05:31 am
And the reason why Hindu's share or access to education is close to their percentage of populations in Pakistan has more to do with economic background of Hindus. The same can be said about Muslims in India. I doubt that Pakistani Govt. made any concerted effort to uplift Hindu masses and ensured equal representation is educational institutions. If they indeed do that then I take back my argument.

I already said that Pakistan is not a model for how to treat a nation's minorities well. It has a very long way to go, if it does not self-destruct first in the meantime.
When did I claim that everything is hunky dory in Pakistan?

Viq, I'm with RSS. I know a thing or two about how they function. There's no call for Hindutva khatre mei hai.

Cobra, you are as poisonous as your name suggests. You are unwilling to work with me to help viqarm feel good about himself. :)

Kaal, yaar I'm simpleton. I speak whatever comes to my mind I can't do strategic thinking like you do.

The govt of Pakistan hasn't attempted to uplift anyone's lot in 60 years, let alone their minorities.
It is an elitist society where the elite want to have it all to themselves, armed forces in particular.
What Pakistan needs is a French revolution ...
