That was an interesting satirical piece written with insight and factual clarity.
However,I believe, one can criticize wrong policies and corrupt practices without bringing in irrelevant personal shortcomings like insufficient command over one's mother-tongue. It is hardly a criterion for judging leadership qualities, I think. Don't you?

This is billed as satire. It was a rant and should have been stated as such. No wonder the author respects Cowasjee who is well known for ranting. And finally inserting the fav line of pro Mush camp in a different way "We dont have a choice" but in a different way. Mush is hand in glove with Benazir. When you pardon criminals and robbers, you can't wash your hands off that I didn't do it. Mush is as much a criminal and robber as the coterie he keeps.

I solely agree on who is Musharraf to pardon BB's crimes. But I still feel Musharraf is best out of the worsts. If someone better than him comes which I don't think there is, I will surely support them. Imran Khan is lots of talk and no action. He could do a lot but I don't see him doing that.

First and foremost, thanks for your comment. I agree on the part that mother-tongue isn't a parameter for judgment of leadership skills but on the other hand the content she delivers also doesn't put any good image.

Re: # 4
Points taken. But do u see anyone who has done something good for the country. Why Musharraf has done that also has a reason? If he is doing it for remaining in the power, it is still not that bad because I seriously think that he would do more better for the country. It was debt by Benazir and Nawaz, which was cleared in Musharraf regime. Actually I don't see anyone in the political arena, who would take Pakistan somewhere. And please dont say Imran Khan, he is more talk, no action. The action of his hospital I completely support but otherwise on the political front, he has only been good for action against MQM and that is it.

It was a good effort but it could have been much better. Keep writing and I wish you best of luck.

No, it is not a criteria for leadership qualities, on a one-glance look.
But when we are talking about the langauge of the COUNTRY you want to govern, I think it most certainly is. You cannot rule a country you don't fit into. You cannot understand their people unless you feel like them, in this case, speak their language. More importantly, your claim to represent them is incomplete.

Re: # 10 and 11
Yes that what my point was. For a leadership, sense of ownership is important and not the kind of ownership that Feudals claim which is less ownership more property.
Thanks.
