this was a good read!
particularly loved the ending : `she was a loner and she would always be one`.

Re: # 13

RMor...thanks for your comments - appreciation and queries.

A few points...I write to define/depict life as I see it around me. My works are not meant to be moralistic, nor necessarily aimed at driving a particular point home.

About this story, yes, it happens all the time - the 'other' woman, and the 'other' man - that's life! And simple characters, like Soha, without any perceivable depth/dimension to their flat existence are all around us too. I had not intended to show Soha in that light because she was a housewife - that's HOW she is because that's WHO she is anyway - with or without the 'housewife' label. Infact, I find, many housewives are very fascinating women.

Thanks again, for your time.

It was well written and a quick read, but I did not get the point of the story. Or was it... pointless?

Doesn't this sort of thing happen everyday?

The Soha character is stereotyped, you could give even an ordinary housewife more depth than that.

On the whole, your writings are enjoyable, and describe daily life well.

Hmmmm. Quite engaging yet a little disjointed at first.

A man giving in to raw desire.....wouldnt be the first!

Great Tahera. I have returned to Chowk after a long time, and am glad I stumbled upon your story. Wonderfully written and a great interpretation of human emotions and commitments.
Keep it up

It is a very thin line that divides relationships.Whether that line is crossed or not depends on the kind and quality of the very fiber that makes up each individual. It is all in the mind and quite often remains in the mind......

Re: # 2

Cigar..."'Shame??'" Relationships can be confusing; people are fallible. Against his better judgement demanding otherwise, a part of Amir Raza is not willing to sever all ties - agreeing, but not accepting.
