In order for rule of law to survive in Pakistan, we must have a resurrection of the supreme court the way it was prior to this latest coup, whosoever the judges.
The current leadership, military or civil, is tarnished. It is up to the people to force change. I feel it is pessimistic to think that the current political players are inevitable. There are other leaders who can lead us out from the valley of shadows: Many second line leaders in the current set up, especially in the PPP, are dissenting from their frontline leadership. Aitazaz Ahsen is one such example. It is up to you and I, the Johnnys on the street to support such changes or bring them about. Remember, out of the chaotic times of the movement against Ayub Khan was born arguably the best political mind of our country, Z A Bhutto.
