Yaar Khan sahib,

Never heard of this party? Must be something big, but you see we have our own so many such parties in Pakistan.

But whatever you wrote apply to most of these parties....

Actually Islam is on the side of Hizb.

They rightly deserve to rule Pakistan at least.

Come on Pakistanis this is a true momeen organizaion asking you to be on the true path of allah.

If you waver then you do not deserve to be called moslems.

Hizb is right - ask you maulana if they are wrong???

I happened to know one of the executive members of H.T - Dr.Bashir who is from Birmingham - and during my years of study at Birmingham University , Selly Oak - I happened to watch these folks closely - as there main target had always been young Muslim lads who can be twisted - there way.

I think the British - are one of the most tolerant people and had showed a never ending tolerance to these fascist nerds known as Hizb-ut-Tahir.
HT- activists wants to do following:

a) Enforce sharia in UK
b) They openly considers 9/11, 7/11 terrorists as martyrs
c) They propagate jihad against UK and encourages young Muslims to take on arms against UK
d) One of the 7/7 bombers - from Tipton was a ex-HT activist
e) ex-HT activist from Manchester exploded himself in Israel
f) HT still encourages Muslims - to go to Jihad in Iraq

HT is a terrorist organization - and is a mouth piece for terrorists but that does not mean all what they utter is b.s
West has lot of skeletons hidden in there own cupboards but - two wrongs can not make one right

That seems to be an awful lot bashing that the author seems to be dishing out on the basis of one statement taken from their website. Without any further context or information, the author expects everyone to rely on him to be giving it like it really is. Why not? We all know that journalists/writers are the most honest people amongst us. The war in Iraq is one example of that honesty.

Mr Khan...I don't know much about Hezbut Tahrir but it looks to me like you just had an axe to grind simply because of the way you have presented your case. Doesn't seem too well thought out and looks like another guy out to bash any maulana he can find with the same tired bullshit that we have all heard. And by the way, Muslims are not as backwards as you seem to think....we do have Nobel Peace Price winners, scientists and people at the top in every category mentioned. They are working in India, US, Germany, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and almost any other country you can think of. You just seem to be too negative and unfair.

LSE students of Pak-origin once organised an open debate abt 'give Islam a chance (in the west)' (sic) in 2004 and the ppl on the dias are a HuT leader (Pak-British), Abu Izzadeen (I dont know then that the black imam was such a sought after person among Pakistanis in UK) and Dennis Cobel, then chairman of UK Secular society.

The organisers (Pak students) made Dennis look stupid many times though he clarified that secular policy is not to smother religions/religious rights but to safeguard the choices of individuals.

HuT guy emphasised that Islamic rule would be like heaven on earth. The black imam aroused passion among the audience (most of them are Pak-British and a couple of them are Indonesians but a very few arabs).

My interaction post-debate with the black imam shocked me that he said to the effect that what Talibans did in their own country was their right; this is his reply to my question that Islamic rule doesnt connote an egalitarian rule and Taliban eliminated thousands of Hazaras in Afghanistan just bcoz they happen to be Shias. He almost barked at me for a such question.

The shrill voiced HuT guy feigned ignorance abt hira mandi in Lahore (he claimed that he's from Lahore) though he's saying that the Islamic rule wud ensure a noble society in the west (who are neck deep in debauchery, vice etc).

******

Mr. Khan,

U cant reason with them. They are like parasites in western countries. Live off the grapes of western civlisation but want to destroy it from within. Ppl like Bari and Banglawala play footsie with these fruity-English kala Brit-Pakistanis. I excluded Indian & Bangla Muslims coz they are not that khattar.

zyxius,

"we do have Nobel Peace Price winners, scientists and people at the top in every category mentioned."

.... okay, name two other than abdus salam (a kafir), naguib mahfuz (who you tried to kill) and orhan pamuk (who you are going to try to kill) ....... peace prizes and people who died in andalusia a thousand years ago do not count .......

This article is moronic it could have been written by a Hindu leftist. Verily, Pakistan appears to be full of people who never learnt Islam.

Most likely, Mr Gupangam satisfies himself as a 'sufi' or sufi wannabe and holds loving ignorance his birthrights.

There has been some good news lately in the UK, according to the ECONOMIST magazine Bangladeshis are streaking ahead in education, careers etc, but they are still a bit behind Pakistanis if present trends continue they will be on same level as white brits in a decades time, or may be have overtaken them..

IB,

"HT is a terrorist organization - and is a mouth piece for terrorists but that does not mean all what they utter is b.s"

....there always is a 'BUT', isn't there ?......... as long as we keep on making excuses there is no hope for a remedy ...... we need to learn to say, " there is no ifs, and buts - the fault is ours that we are underlings and a pain in the butt for the rest of humanity" ......... only then we will be able to change our status as hemmaroids .......

I am afraid no muslim country has made a successful transition from developing to fully developed, has Taiwan, south korea did within generation or two. It will be a long and hard battle.

aslam #12 Take heart, my friend. There is no "fully developed" country in the world. All human institutions are Work-in-Progress. Granted though that the "Detour" into military rule in Pakistan for the past 8 years is long enough - time to give some new theykaydaars a chance. Mush and Co Ltd. should be sued by the Pakistani nation for not delivering.

I agree with you all these terms are relative, I wonder what criteria they use when they describe “ developing countries”, “developed countries”, “third world”, “first world”
