Loss of a parent is just that, loss. However old they may have been or however ill, even if we know they are going, going, gone and we are expecting it with all the doctors telling us to do so,it is still that. Something goes with them, an era ends, closing one chapter of life where one stops being somebody's Even in middle age!!) child to not having parents anymore, a complete definition of feeling the current of the life-river carrying us onwards while milestones pass us by on the shore.....your feelings come through very well in this article.

Simple yet very powerful writing here, your article is beautifully written and has a great flow to it.

I am sorry for your loss. I wrote of a huge loss that I had here as well. Strange how, even by letting our emotions run with our words, they are as strong as ever.

Best wishes,
Zara Hafeez
