"There are Muslims who assign this name to themselves and get it disgraced and abused by their behaviour worse than animals."
teshah -- you can say that again. It couldn't be expressed any better.
And those Muslims of course won't be charged with the real Blasphemy for using such a great name for such lousy members of the community.
And the teddy bear is not even an animal -- it is a toy for children to cuddle with and go to sleep at night alone in their beds.

Well done dear nasah. A bear is perhaps better than many human beings who are called by the name'Mohammad'. Does not the Quran say,"Those who do not use their 'aql' are worst than animals". Their are Muslims who assign this name to themselves and get it disgraced and abused by their behaviour worse than animals. Any how: What's in a name; a stinking thing would not smell sweet by calling it a rose and vise versa.

"A British teacher faces jail and 40 lashes in Sudan for insulting Islam by letting her class of seven-year-olds name a teddy bear Muhammad."
If this not a diseased mental state then what it is -- these stupid religious morons of Islam don't even know that a teddy bear is one of the most affectionate cuddly security-blanket kind of toy for the kids -- and naming a teddy bear "Mohammed' is a sweet cuddly idea for the Muslim kids to love Mohammed.
The dedicated British teacher -- who took upon herself the self-torture and self-punishment to leave the comforts of a civilized society to go to this wild savage Godforsaken place called Sudan to teach the Mohammed-Worshipping barbarians -- how to read and write and teach their children how to show affection to Mohammed in a civilized way.-- ends up meeting this kind of cruel barbaric indignity.
And this is nothing compared to what the savages of the Saudi Sharia court did to that teenager girl who after being raped by 7 pious Saudi men as a punishment for going on a date -- was punished by the Sharia court with lashes and a long term jail sentence.
Are we Muslims normal? -- fit to live with dignity in this modern changing times among the otherwise civilized communities of the world? -- with our no-change medieval mind set?
The whole Muslim thinking process is weird, diseased, totally topsy turvy -- totally upside down -- what is night for the rest of the world is day for us -- we are a weird community with primitive savage moralities -- thrust suddenly among the norms of bewildered world communties -- by global migration.
And by God we have no plan -- no intention -- of ever learning from others -- changing ourselves -- and adjusting to the norms of the world around us. We would rather kill the norm and stay abnormmal -- than do any slef-examination.
and then we complain why there is no democracy in Pakistan!

Islamic state never wants an "independent" judiciary- it wants civil laws and its interpretors to be subservient to Islamic laws, Islamic Shariah, the mullahs and the khalifas.
So, this desire to have an "independent" judiciary is just a pipe dream.
Pakistan can never have anything "independent" till the time it remains slave to "Islamic Principles".
Turn Pakistan into a secular state if it is to survive in the future!!

Ahmedmadani sahib,
As usual a very wise post.
(This is max megaton power even historical this is strongest muslim army on eart today and probably for ever.)
Here I beg to differ. That distinction belongs to Mahatma Fazlu/Mehsud's bunch of satyagrahis. I mean after all they are beating the Paki Army.
(When that final offensive will begin, this army pass through futile indian resistance like hot knife throgh butter.)
The Hanuds would be prepared this time. We will line up the GT Road from Wagah to Panipat with convents.
(as resistance is futile will lead to slaughter in India of innocent people by atomic missible.)
You spray us with nukes, we will spray you with White Phosphorus.
Regards

Re: # 6 Mr. J you know pakistan is too adavanced socially , politically and economy than KSA to follow their system. King Abdulla is very much interested in Pakistani democracy and hopes saudi will emulate pakistani example. Pakistan is at time have best army with more fire power in Megatons of TNT in each bomb so indian army is stopped. This is max megaton power even historical this is strongest muslim army on eart today and probably for ever. With time with good governance more stength will be added megatons wise and how India will counter that. I will assure in few years with A.stan problem solved this army will snatch and solve problem and put india in peace. When that final offensive will begins world will hold breath, as India will be going civils wars and pakistani will army cut through Kashmir and proper India as this army pass through futile indian resistance like hot knife throgh butter. For good for everybodis interst good give take with Kashmir can be best for all and permanant peace. It will be good if you can advice to go for peace at any cost as resistance is futile will lead to slaughter in India of innocent people by atomic missible. So please spend you time writing in indian news papers. No elected official can write of Kashmir as bad choice or terrotories. Till army is in charge things can be arranged and they can be magnamous to India, as romair said still army controls things can be fixed. If elected person really controls army then it is end of any possibility but permanant eternal war against india.
I am for peace and give and take. good day.
I have no interest in internal things. If raskals and thives and politicians are shot or by our friends Gillotine machine no body id going miss them. People should stop discussing interal things, NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE. But if Kashmir is not recatuted by war of by give and take things can change to bad things. bye

I fully agree with you. The proponents of so-called "islamic order" fail to understand that Islam without a responsible and representative government is nothing but "mulukiat", which is the worst kind of punishment for the Ummah. History is evident to this and we must not be trapped again and again in this pitfall.

Nasah
You are 100% correct dear nasah. Just see: the Constitution of the Islamic Republic stands suspended but the 'Fatwas'in it stand intact.
Just see Mush, the 'enlightened' bowing before and kissing the black stone in Mekka but trampling the Islamic Constitution under his boots. They in fact worship only the cult of 'KURSI DEVI', treating it as the 'Aeyatul-Kursi'.
In a nutshell, it is nothing but a bizzar theatre in absurdity.

Two reasons for lack of democracy in Pakistan:
1) Pathological obssession with Islam in civilian politics.
2) Pathological obssession of Military with civilian politics.
Political Islam and political military -- are the two two ton stones around the neck of a frail emerging Pakistan -- will never allow Pakistan to grow, rise and be counted as a Rule of Law democracy -- get rid of both burdens and Pakistan will fly.

The last 60 years have shown that democracy is not viable in pakistan. The islamic system is the only viable option, the pak army is a jihadic army to protect the borders, sharia laws are in place but not implemented, sharia court is the final arbitrator of laws of pakistan.
Stop this charade of democracy, accept the relity and look forward to the entertainment of beheading on fridays as in saudi.
What is wrong with that, saudi is a very rich country and the people are a happy lot.

We need to give some serious thought to the issue of repeated failure of democracy in Pakistan. Is it due to the failure of a political leadership? Why these leaders always seek the help of "military complex" and try to please them. How people of this land are betrayed by politicians and ruthlessly (mis)ruled by the generals pinches me a lot.

Is it not intriguing that Nawaz was allowed to come back only after the election of Musharraf as president for the second term had been finalized. Does it not suggest a collusion between the incumbent rulers playing with Nawaz like a foot-ball to facilitate each other?

Haq
No doubt rule of law, a constitution ensuring basic human rights. and justice are the main pillars of democracy, nay, even of any civilized society.
But ours is an 'Islamic' society, wherein Islam means 'Deen-e-Mullah fi sabilillah fassaad'. The Constitution here has been turned into a 'Fatwa' of 'Takfir' (edict of declaring infidel) and 'Blasphemy'. How can one think of democracy in a country which is occupied by the army and the mullah with scant regard for its judiciary.

Welcome home Nawaz Sharif!
It took a while but a Government of National
Unity/Reconciliation is the need of the hour.
Good luck to all members of the Sharif family.
Time for Pakistanis to put the politics of
revenge behind them.

Without determining the direction of country, how can you talk about system.
Democracy has never taken roots in Pakistan. What is the reason? Dig into the reason and you will realize what we need is progress and not anarchy. What system or direction is open to question?
Pakistan has a long history of struggle for democracy. As much as there is a history of dictatorship and controlled democracy. To the point that more than a million people have died after independence (not including partition) to this end.
An independent non corrupt judiciary, a non corrupt parliament, and a non political non corrupt administration, and Independent madia, Non hostile neighbours. Just these few things we need. And all our problems will be solved.
Lets join hands. Revolution is in air. Kick the Pakistan Army. Kick the Indian Army and any army which looks at Pakistan with a bad eye. So we can continue to survive as an independent nation. Kick the Americans who give us aid and in return support our generals. Kick everyone.
Pakistan Zindabad.
Marde Jamhoriat, Khatoone democracy. Paendabad.
Army rule Murdabad.
