Simple commonsense solution to defang all these-

declare Pakistan as a Secular , Democratic, Liberal State.

De-recognize political parties with Religious agendas.

Khan sahib,

Interestingly many Hanud Injuns believe that India is being done in by four Ms too- Marxists, Mullahs, Missionaries and Macaulayites. I tend to agree with their diagnosis on the first three but being a "Peon of the West" type person strongly disagree with on the fourth being a bad type. Without Macaualy sahib, we Injuns still wud have been junglees.

Btw, it was interesting to see you quote Mr. CWM, I thought that Masadi sahib was the only one who had heard of the guy, but it seems that he is rather more well-known.

Regards

Excellent Article... but I beg to differ ... as someone whose family has been in politics for 80 years first in the Muslim League and then in the PPP... on your description of the Punjab Unionist Party Reincarnated as Muslim League.

The name Muslim League is a convenient legitimising tag that the Military ruler uses to legitimise his in vogue version of Punjab Unionist Party incarnated.

The real Muslim League died the day the erstwhile Unionists (under the banner of the Establishment's "Republican Party") banned and crushed it.

What is the need for this article? Manto and others have alluded to this for years now. Either come up with a solution or stop suggesting the obvious.

You said:

The worst case scenario is a nightmare – a situation wherein the nuclear weapons will be in the hands of religious extremists who were politically represented by MMA, trained by ISI and taught by JUI’s demagogues in the past. It will be a disastrous situation wherein the whole region will depict a picture of ashes if the rule of these M's continues.

I say:
The Yankees and it's monkeys are selling exactly THIS to the scared public. Why would our forces see their own shop closed? They would never allow their stool pigeons to fly that high! The birds produce bird droppings only when ordered. Now think again.

The list of M's is quite accurate but it is missing one very important L. The name of this group can also start with another M, but I do not think Chowk's policy will allow it to print. This "L" stands for the Liberal Fascists. While all other M's are just charlatans or as it is called "Lotas" in urdu, but liberal fascists are the one who had been and are the ideological allies of this vicious dictator. Unfortunately Liberal Fascists are armed with higher education and have quite a clout in the media, propaganda machinery, and the NGOs etc. just like Lotus Eaters, their job is to misguide the common public. They are the first line soldiers of the global colonialism, whose job is to prepare the minds of people for an eternal slavery. In the name of the so called "Enlightened Moderation" they are the one who tried to convince everyone that the real democarcy is one in which fouj is on top, and why it is necassary that this vicious, incompetent, and corrupt dictator should stay on top. They are the one whose hands are red with the blood of Pakistani citizens; whether it is the Islamabad School massacre or the gencocide of Pakistani citizens in Baluchistan, Waziristan, and Swat. They are not only an accessory to the murder and crime against the people of Pakistan but they are the one who through their false propaganda create monsters out of innocent human beings to jsutify their crime. They are the one who are the true M's here.

Good succinct article but could even be more succinct. One M(Musharraf) is the root cause of our problems, the others are merely tools.

majumdar saib -- what happened to the 5th 'M' -- the Modis...? Did you forget these M fakars or they did not deserve the august list?

2.MQM (mis-representing Indian Muhajirs)
3 Muslim League (representing the opportunists of Punjab)

I think for the purpose of this article the first M was good enough. 1 Musharraf (representing Military)

2 and 3 really have no impact on the situation in Pakistan.

MQM represents a minority in Sindh. Mohajir or the urdu speaking no matter what they might think about their importance(and they think more than they should!) don’t figure prominently in the larger Pakistani politics.

Qatil League is as good as Army wants to make it so is the situation with MQM.
They are both qurbani ka dunmba!

4 Mullah (represented by MMA)
Heheheh… they don’t mean much except that JI is the other name for alqaeeda.

Re: # 8
This M is in trouble -- by the A one --"ISLAMABAD: Military officers, including corps commanders and senior generals, cannot meet President Pervez Musharraf without the army chief’s consent" -- beginning of the re-professionalization the Pakistan Army.

Besides, If the M coass can declare emergency the K COAS can also declare the emergency -- on the basis of an 'illegal' precedence -- depose the the fake president -- put him under house arrest -- cut the phone lines -- and give the house key to that double A, Aitzaz Ahsan -- to give the M a taste of his own M-edicine -- restore the real Supreme Court -- reinstate the real judges -- send the PCO (Pervez Corporation Orderlies) judges to Re-education Capms for a crash course of Pakistan Constitution -- re-elect a new legislature in a truly fair not colored -- and a truly free-of-M Election -- that in turn elects a new civil(ized) president -- remove the 'Emergency' and go back to barracks being a regular COAS for a regular army for the regular 3 years -- Not NINE years!

How many budding COAS careers this greedy Nine Year 'old' coass has ruined!

I think Pushtoonistan is in the making. You can see all those Pathans are boycotting the elections except those on the hit list like Sherpao. Achkzai sitting with Qazi and Hamid Gul with Afrasiab Khattak. What else do you need for nationalism? The CIA/ISI/Mohajirs think Pushtoons are basically terrorists and they pose a threat to nukes. Nukes are the best blackmailing chip in army's store. So they have planned to make Punjabi army to fight to death to defend Mohajir/western interests. Pathans refused to fight in Swat and Waziristan. The new borders along river Indus will basically keep the Pushtoons westward. The next battle ground is between these two groups and that is what Balkanization will happen in the next decade. However, tribes living elsewhere in mountains may jump on the bandwagon and we will see an interesting scenario.

The dog ugly Jabba the Hut (h2) and his sidekick the R2d(T)32 both singing the praises of the white man who considers them shit, and that also at the expense of our people. Pathetic fools but unfortunately their kinds of slaves and sons of slaves are abundant in our country especially the military's top leadership, that is why its pathetic shape, and the misery of our people.
