Thank you, Pulchritude.
Please accept my heartfelt condolances on your loss. I know that words cannot express the magnitude of grief and perhaps the best expression of sympathy is silence with very wet eyes. May allah bless us in other ways when he chooses to test us in this extreme manner. may the heart find solace in a world left so empty.

God Bless

Thank you kashkin,
The poem is lovely and very true.

On a spiritual level we all understand death and that is why we are able to live without those who define our very existance. But the heart is a poor companion of the soul and it grieves for moments past and of all that can never be again. In the eternal conflict between the heart and mind, we suffer in anguish. If only love would not leave such deep rooted sorrows behind, i would pray that everyone should love deeply and ardently. Then again, the pain surpasses the joys in every way and in the end, perhaps it is better not to love at all than to live in the afterglow. Sad. Overwhelmingly sad.
May god bless you for thinking. feeling. sharing.

Fondest Regards,
Amber

"In memory of Farzan Bokhari"
The poem " The Immortal Soul "

Time will bring, the old gifts
Of understanding and assurance
As cometh the rain and wind
In deserts and in mountains
To wash away, the old sorrow
Through mists and its reality
An old essence of being alive
Within you and all around
Time will bring you in nearness
From a loss and of its effect
Through mists of existence
To heal from a pain
Deeper than the Yangtze
Sharper than the sword
From the old samurai days
To reclaim and to possess
What is yours?
And of one that belonged
To the world,
Time will come,
To heal and to welcome
All what a person
Can constitute and offer
As we all play our part,
In this life and moments
Of grief and happiness,
Death only brings the end
End is not for the soul
Lives it forever,
Relies it not on instincts
And the way we see life
Remains In you and all
A portion of existence,
Of magic, of friendship and love
In all whom we have shared
Our moments of creation
And of life, spent in between
In distance and in nearness
As in creation, long time ago
You and all will understand
These mechanics
In parting lies, the beauty
Of not our choice,
Of not our makings
Remain in soul, the old sorrow
Of separation and of loss
Remain in place,
The immortal soul
Of memory, love and laughter!

Kashkin

Thank you friends for your compassion and understanding. it means the world to me. It has given me a rare moment of peace and joy. My brother for me is as alive as anyone breathing, but the only difference is that i cannot share the beauty and warmth of his being with others the way i used to. He was a loving, caring and nurturing soul. i have never met anyone who could say something ill of him. Most of all, when he was around i felt taken care of and protected. Although a part of my heart will always grieve for an irreparable loss, his life and death has given me and my family the strength and the resolve to be better people. Everyone who sees him and reads about him will carry his memory in his heart. To me, life is nothing but a handful of moments. In many ways farzan bhai is breathing on the face of chowk today. Thank you for sharing these moments with us. Please say a prayer for his eisaal e sawab and one for us who haven't yet learnt to move on.

Kind regards,
A

this was a beautiful poem, it was courageous of you to share your pain... the loss of a family member is the most difficult experience, and the loss of a sibling is twice the sorrow, not only do you lose a brother, but you also lose a friend... may his soul rest in peace

“I am so clever that sometimes I don\'t understand a single word of what I am saying.”

Amber,
Very touching and inspiring expression of longing and pain for a hastily departed loved one. May Farzan's soul find comfort and eternal peace through your beautiful remembrance. May you find acceptance that in this world we are all transients and the next one is the true home for us all. Ameen.

this was a beautiful expression of love, grief and longing for a brother by her little sister. indeed, there are some pains that just never dim with time, but we may learn to live with them.

may he rest in peace and may your heart find comfort. ameen.

I always remember him...
He was the best student in our class..
I remember when he joined C 1 in 1989, he was a little short and then he suddenly started to gain height and was around 6 feet before we left Aitchison and went to Government College...
I remember his soft spoken attitude...
The studious nature...
The innocence which combined with high level of intellect...
I was in Karachi when I found out about his death and I was shocked beyond belief....
In fact of our class C 3 C of 1991 SC batch, Farzan's tragic death is the third death. Two of our other class fellows namely Ali Nasir Waraich and Sheryar Safir Shami have also tragically passed.
Aitchison College has always stayed in my heart and I remember those days clearly and often recall those memories...
Your brother will always be a part of those memories and thus in some way always alive in my heart.....

Re: # 1
Thank you for remembering Farzan bhai. Every time someone talks about him it makes me feel as if he still has the power to surprize and cheer us up. It is heart wrenching when relatives and friends stop talking about a person as loving and beautiful, just because they think it will make us cry. It would be an absolute loss if his love and warmth was never spoken of.
I cried when i read your interact but only because i was so happy someone remembers his life the way we do. Please remember him in your prayers and ask all your friends who knew him to do the same. I am sure somewhere up there he is still smiling because his little sister does such silly things.
Thank you. May god bless you always and in all ways. Amen

May Allah(SWT) Rest him in peace and happiness. And May He(SWT) Fill the emptiness of loss in your hearts with courage, determination, and resolve for His service, my child.

Amber your poem has reminded me of my class fellow Farzan Mahmood Bokhari with a lot of intensity....
We were at Aitchison and in same class and section from 1989-91 in senior school....
He used to consistently top in our class during those years....
He then went to GC and I also went there though he was in the pre medical group....
One of the sweetest and best individuals I have come across...
