Guruji:

Do you know that Harijan ("Dont use Harijan to destroy..") was first used in your great-grandfather's generation?
"
So??? "
I was only responding to your point about who is living in which century. I am glad you changed Harijan to Dalit, even though I do not believe that we should tag anyone with any such labels. When we do, we show our biases, and want to feel different. It confuses the social, economic and educational challenges that a society must face.

I listed your quotes for you and others to see and make your mind.
Fear and biases are inside all of us. These know no boundaries of a nation, we carry them wherever we go. Do you want to let them dominate?

"within a span of two generations, they will go the way of the dodos. (dodos were killed BTW)...."
Two generations is what? Forty years?
I would love to hear what hamidm thinks. I suspect we will be discussing these very issues exactly as today, and CA - hopefully in fine health - would still be looking for the next 40 years. :)

Why must you call someone Harijan? You never qualified anyother friend of yours, did you?
"
For the same reason others might call me Kshatriya or Maratha. It is only to identify my ancestry. As a matter of fact, grew in a milieu of Bramhin hate. To me all non Bramhins were Marathas. Today I say every one is Maratha if they speak Marathi.
"

So??? Dalit was never used till people realized that they can make real $s peddling dalit-shit in west. Pishachyas eating Asuric malida.
There was no caste, but there were bara balutedars in villages. The priest who was supposed to live on alms was more penniless than a Mang in the village.

Dear Chowkies:
While this may not be directly related to the article, I offer my responses to Mr. Laddu's points as a sincere attempt to bridge the misunderstanding between Injuns and Pakis. Enjoy.
Laddu,
Yaar, thank you for enumerating the different ways in which you love us Pakis and Muslims. My reciprocating emotions are in bold.
{"Please do become "stable" - because an unstable Pakistan is not good for us."}
It's not like we're mentally unstable or anything. We just like to fight a lot - and when you Injuns don't wanna fight, we just practice on each other. Next time we'll keep the noise down and not wake up your "peaceful country." What with Meos, Naxalites, Maoists, and Gujjus trying to get their beauty sleep for the Miss Inja contests.
{"We are already addressing our problems - you do yous"}
Yeah, Laddu, but you just end up addressing most of your problems to us. If we ever find out that even one of the so-called "Jihadi" attack was "Made in Inja," rest assured that a whole lot of dhotis will be unraveled for starters - after we forcibly change their color to shitty yellow.
{" Just do not set your jealous and hateful eyes on us.
We do not want to do anythng with you."}
Well said - especially after you butt in, bifurcate our country, and then become more hated by the Bengalis than you are hated even by the Tamils of SL. If ever we become so ugly, so poor, and so stupid as to be jealous of you, it will be time for all Pakis to commit one last act of suicide - in Delhi. Thank God, we ain't sunk so low yet.
{"We do not want you to use our names. First stop using our name and change it to mahammad something like Salim Mohammad."}
Good point! I have often thought about that, but then how would I have lured Hindu chicks into my lair as I introduced myself as "S. Chauhan?" First impressions are important, after all. Of course, once introduced to the Pride of the Rajput, all differences in religion had been set aside in the worship of suntanned superiority.
{"Do not watch our movies. Do not sing our songs. Do not wear our dresses. Tell your woman to waer chadors all the time."}
Your movies? Your songs? Your dresses? chadors?
Your Bollywood movies wouldn't mean jack shit if it were not for the Urdu dialogue - which BTW is OUR language that we speak at home without the subtitles (or dictionaries) you assholes have to read to understand YOUR own movies.
Stop stealing our Paki songs, because after Javed Akhtar, you may well have the end of "Indian" Ghazals - the backbone of most Bollywood songs. All good shairi is in Urdu - the language of Pakistan. Only the Hindi news as in "Some Achaar Some Apt hui" is your language - and even I can't understand it while I can understand Bollywood movies and Z TV - obviously your SOME ACHAAR and movies are not in the same language.
As for dresses,
Shalwar and Qameez are Muslim in origin and even the words are not Injun. Gharara is Muslim and was invented by Nur Jahan, an Iranian. Even the longer six-yard sari is not Injun. The Injuns used to wear a much shorter version, barely enough to cover the waist and nothing up top - not that I am complaining here, infact damn the Muslims for covering up the Injun tits.
The chador is from Iran, but then the word ghoonghat is Hindu. So, figure that one out. Maybe the Hinjus were also hiding their females' faces long before Tariq or Mahmood arrived with their superior weapons and organs.
{"Forget it, we want nothing to do with you. Just go to your Arabian land and eat your dates."}
We agree on this one. We also don't want anything to do with you - just stop meddling in our country. Also, we will eat our Arabian, Iranian, Californian, Israeli, and even Indian dates - why does that cause you mirchi? We like to eat dates.

Hamid:
Here we are talking nationalism, secularism, communalism and what not, as if unwashed abdul and ram dulari care. As long as they do not run away together everything is fine and dandy. Once they do, they are inevitably caught and stoned to death in Pakistan and paraded naked and then forced to commit suicide in India. In this context, if you can explain to me nationalism, secularism and all other isms in "pucca" maithili or potohari (or whatever you speak) then I shall listen. Otherwise, I do not care.

Guruji:
The following are your statements:
"....Driver is Harijan, maid is Harijan and last week attended two Harijan Buddhist marriages which included lunch...."
"....You might start believing that India is really divided along the caste line that you can hoist green zanda easily on red fort by exploiting the division among Indians...."
"... that most of the Gujarat Muslim killings was done by the lower castes which included Harijans. People who demolished Babri were also lower castes..."
"...Dont use Harijan to destroy India..."
Can you see a pattern of fear ("you might start believing.."), and extreme bias ("... killings was done by the lower castes...")?
Do you know that Harijan ("Dont use Harijan to destroy..") was first used in your great-grandfather's generation?
Why must you call someone Harijan? You never qualified anyother friend of yours, did you?

NO, CA, zee has never hidden anything, and has put everything upfront and center for those who would listen to him, even for his Pakistani Muslim friends. He wants people to wake up in time, before it is too late.
-----------
mohar11, at least the faith is that ultimately, the victory will be of the believers.' So it becomes a question of the time frame and what is considered important enough to fight on for, and what is considered secondary to be accommodated.
I don't have faith so I can't say if he is right or not. I am just impressed by what I see happening around. :)

Hamidm, it doesn't actually matter who or what kaal believes in. What is funny is that he started off these dialogues, trying to equate "universal truth with faith"...after guffawing loudly at the ineptitude of that thought process, and hearing other gems like "numbers matter.." etc...I have become convinced that this type of mindset (which is equivalent to the jihadi mindset) cannot usurp human knowledge and progress. they simply don;t have the capabilities to do it..and within a span of two generations, they will go the way of the dodos. (dodos were killed BTW)

I go by my own and few good friends experiences and not by opeds written in NYT. If zee had that ability, he would be doing that now, instead of crying like a fool in chowk and throwing impotent threats...
Fact is that momins are at the receiving end and there is nothign much they can do about it... today, it's iraq, afgan, and pakiland, tomorrow it will be iran that will be bombed... what's zee going to do about it?...
