But didn't she just say the term "desi" had nothing to do with her and should only be used by Indians for Indians?

As far as I know, we all refer to each other in Pakistan as "desis". Even to the point of calling our products like Desi KapRa, Desi murghi and the like.

Why do we need these "overseas Pakistanis's" patronage when we have all we need? We need to work on our problems OURSELVES without any overseas interference, be it the Americans, British or self riteous overseas Pakistanis!

Just keep them where they are please

Pakistan3 dear, do not underestimate my little sis' commitment to your land of birth - to the extent that she volunteers her time at a trauma center in that country.

She is genuinely grieved when she encounters slights to that land, although at times she has heaped the same aplenty!

You guys are lucky to have a well-wisher like her, too bad you all do not realize it!

I am a Pakistani and live there (Lahore). I have only been overseas once or twice, generally can't afford to.

Would you care to comment on the "identity", separate or otherwise, of the 16 crore Indian Muslims (almost the same as the total Pakistani population)?

Well, I hold my views based strictly upon my own observations of many many years.....

My observations is totally opposite...I have observed hundreds of times where blacks are given more than equal opportunities in day to day life and in other professions, but, they couldn't shine and rather stumble in USA.

Also,those who are professionals and others lack what is needed to be at the top of any career........Well, that's my own observation, we sure agree to disagree here....

First of all AS ALWAYS your mind is confused and screwed up , nothing new from your side(sorry about that), I feel sorry about your seemlingly defected genes which make you unable to understand my simple and straightforward posts. My posts are so easy that even 4 years old kid will comprehend and will respond with dignity and more understanding which you totally screwed up....

Anyway, I am not here to convince you or anyone else that I am NOT Indian by any chance.....by nationality, by genes, by features, by religion, by rituals, by language and also by cast and gestures and my identity remains my own....
No one here can change this fact and that's the biggest fact. And by NO means I am ashamed of me being who I am....rather I am extremely proud of my IDENTITY and My patriotism that if anyone will try to humiliate or will threaten my IDENTITY AND MY country I will never ever affiliate with that moron....period.

Pakistan's base is a separate IDENTITY than India and that was the main reason we got freedom.....

And also my family and friends in Pakistan don't call themselves DESIS, this word desi is specific for Indians. And I don't like to be called desis because I don't wish to be assimilated with Indians as some sort of same race or same nation.....And again this doesn't make me racist, if I wish to preserve my IDENTITY....

If you're Hindu, Indian with your own specific rituals and traditional customs ,then you have every right to preserve your identity and be proud of.

I respect your right and same is for me to have a right to my RIGHT of sticking to my pride.....

And all others who are trying intentionally or unintentionally to misinterpret my simple posts then they should better get a quick treatment for their confused minds......If I don't think like you guys, then why even try to change my views which I hold dearly????
